Well, the planets finally aligned, so I had all the pieces in house. It takes me forever to figure things out, in part because I am afraid to say something that proves to be wrong soon enough, in part because the system is revealing enough that changing things a little here a little there can balance the sound.

I ran the Mutec 1.2 first. Lively, cleaner sound. It is a decent upgrade, and the sound is not as refined as the 3+ but its in the same family.
Then I wanted to put it all together. So thats a micorendu through a Lightspeed 10G thru a Wyred 4 Sound recovery through cascaded Mutec 3+USBs to a Gungnir Multibit. I had the split Lightspeed but always liked how that sounds in my room, so i had to put it in, and I don't have a linear powersupply, so i put in the wyred 4 sound . This goes to the RCA (not the BNC) on the Gungnir Multibit.

Sounds polite, but very listenable. Tamed the bass in the room, not sure how yet, lol. Smooth, no fatigue, but it does leach out a little of the detail. After a few days, running through a few things I'll get a better handle on it, theres so many things in the dish, theres no way yet to figure out what causes what.

I know its stupid to do, people don't have to tell me. I know. :drunk:
