Never ever since 2009 and later have I claimed to hear 24 Bit, more than 17 kHz, DA filters with changed pre- and post-ringing or even inferiority of good lossy codecs. For years I have always been skeptical about measurements, including those that were done in the company I worked for. So I don't even have my own measurement rig. I use sine sweeps. Yes, hearing treble peaks is a little more difficult than a boost at 500, 1k or 2k Hz, but anyone with some experience should be able to hear and locate them. By now I do think we are advancing with interpreting and performing measurements. There might be even a little truth in your toilet paper roll, but you cannot even see it yourself.

On the other hand, you try to ascribe inhumanly super hearing powers to yourself, claim to hear a 0.2 dB pressure difference, fool yourself to hear supersonic information or whatever you think to find in your misinterpreted data. But then you cannot hear treble peaks above 5 kHz?? You. You are harmful to the hobby because you live in a made-up world of audio waves that only you can hear. You have successfully materialized your subjective bias and thus made it exist in your own heavily distorted world.

Of course research is harmful to you, because it could create a crack in your world and possibly even tear it down. You must do everything to preserve your existence, so go on and continue with your personal insults. I don't care.
