Quiet Meet (DC-ish)

I have hosted a handful of these. Just a quiet space to get to dig in and listen - not the typical mass collection of people. Posting because there's been some small interest to have another. I know a few of you, yet to meet the others. Definitely open to meeting a few more.

Interesting points:

• One of the local members, who I think is only on Head-Fi, finished his Bottlhead Kaiju 300B kit. He really likes it connected to his HiFiMan Susvara. He'll probably bring it by sourced by a Chord Dave.
• Another local member, who I have not met, expressed an interest to hear Eddie Current ZDS. I have a few different driver tube options. It is sourced by a Yggdrasil w/ gen 5, if someone wants to use a computer source.
• A few people wanted to hear different modifications of headphones. I should have HD650K and already have HD650M, HE4XX (Code-Lite), HD660S, etc. I'll let the person announce his own stuff, if he wants to, but I'm quite curious to hear some mods of his.

Everything else is in my profile, such as BW and Glass. Lots of space to setup multiple 6-foot tables. Post here if you are interested and have anything to bring, or just want to come and have a quiet listen. PM for directions.

The plan for this event is Saturday, December 9, noon to 6pm. The weather is not looking great for Friday into Saturday morning. But I would still like to press forward, hoping things will be clearing as the day progresses. The person bringing the Kaiju said he would be by around 1:30 - 2.

Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to make this (I’m the one who wants to hear the ZDS). Hopefully @Neal can go and tell me about it!

I will most likely be putting together a mini-meet of some kind when I get the ZDT Jr loaner.

 

I would love to participate, but this time of year is crazy. Maybe next time.

 

What was going to be a private meet, moved it to a library in Oakton, VA. A Facebook group, focused mostly on speaker and home theater audio, wanted to hear some things from the headphone world. It should be quiet and very casual:

I'm expecting there to be some entry level things like Magni 3, Vali 2, Modi Multibit, HD6XX, HD650K, HD660S, HE4XX, and LCD2C. My primary interest is to hear Glass and Stratus. There may also be a Bottlehead Kaiju 300B, which a local friend built for use with his Susvara.
