    SGP?

Most international first class runs about $20USD or less.

    Cheers,

    Storm update!

Unfortunately I was under the weather over the weekend and was not able to get everything ready to ship today. And we are about to get hammered with a 12 inch plus snowstorm. That's about 30cm or more for you metric types. Everything is pushed off until Wednesday.

But the store is up! Use coupon code SBAF for 20% for you guys. Right now inventory is only 10 since we have not finished testing.

    Cheers,
    Michael

That's quite a snowstorm! I don't miss living in the east coast.

I don't see them in the store, but maybe they sold out already? EDIT: Found it. They just aren't in the "store" section.

Congrats Michael! I just ordered one and a Rpi 3. Haven't built one of these before I'm sure it will be fun and not any harder than building a PC. Will report back with comparisons to USB/Wyrd/Gungnir Multibit from Macbook Pro/PC as it is the only form of digital I've had experience with.

EDIT: Found it under the Pi2MEDIA header and not the store.

Got one too. Also have a digi + pro and iFi psu on the way. I'll be comparing both with a music only pc/fidelizer pro, ssd's feeding a usb dac thru a regen utilizing bughead emperor and 32 gb ram. Pretty sure I have a bnc adapter somewhere, but God knows where. Now off to Amazon, :headbang: ...excited...

    Thanks Michael!

Can you fill us in a bit on how you solved the ext. noise problemo and turned on the Analog DAC section?

I took a look at the P3 rev. Looks like you rotated 90deg one crystal and rearranged parts around the LT3042...

The DAC noise was resolved by rearranging the groom plane. It was accidentally including the digital section in the same section is the analog.

As for the audible noise, when I looked at the noise that was coming on the analog output I noticed that the frequencies were very similar to the sound you were hearing. My best guess is that it was causing a mechanical vibration in either the Crystal or that Cap. So to be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure the noise will go away! In fact I am not 100% sure, which is why you're going to get a new unit and tell me if it's gone.

    Cheers,
    Michael

We will have another 10-12 by the end of the week. Then another 20 by months wnd. After that we will have a few hundred built at our Taiwan CM. Hopefully the demand will continue?

BTW, we are thinking of advertising this and our replacement tube hat on SBAF. And thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Michael

I think the 502 might be more popular here, as I think the majority of the userbase is generally serious enough to run a dedicated DAC and wants a better transport for it than crappy onboard SPDIF headers. And actually - based on how good the Digi+ Pro already is, and the objective improvements over it that the 502 makes, this may be one of the best digital transports around right now.

That tube hat sure looks cool as an all in one solution for the office or something though.

Do you have a line on compatible cases? There's a few that are compatible with the Digi+, but the clips for the top of the case are in the way of where the ports will be for the 502.

I think you'll get the most interest in the 502 here.

Advertise here, sure. Consider social media marketing as well. We could all follow you on twitter and retweet your postings. I got a handle there but so far, only follow my bro. I belong to several different FB audio groups to expose myself to more stuff and have discussed this there with others. Not a marketing effort , just give and take on what's out there. Twitter and FB, free marketing. FB has paid options too. Get some You Tube reviewers, hansbeecker? has a good following and would reference whatever thread or forum suits you. I guess this is your support thread for now. You could start another under whatever terms are allowed I suppose. This journey, trial and error phase will always prove interesting. A good summary allowing new buyers to just get it going would be helpful. Maybe edit the first post? Just some thoughts....

I also was able to pick one up. Didn't think I was going to get one. Had to ordered it during a jazz band practice for local kids. I was hoping parents weren't looking at me when I picked up my cell in between songs to finish the order! I'm teaching three aspiring jazz pianist. One pianist saw me picking up my cell and he preceded to pick up his cell. I told him musicians can get fired for picking up their cell phones during practice. You should have seen the look on his face! Ha! Do as I say not as I do!

I'm also looking to get a BNC to rca connector. Do you think it would be better to make a cable with one end rca and the other BNC?
I have some good Belden cable and could make up a special cable.

I ended getting a regular rca to rca and an adapter from blue jeans cable. Better use for me as I will be comparing digi+pro to the 502dac hat

Congrats @Michael Kelly on the first production batch! I've been loving my beta board, a significant improvement in every way over a standard Digi+.

Darn missed the first batch >:)

Would've been awesome to have all the connectors on one side (including power) but I suppose it's not possible considering the hat form factor constraints.

What are those headers on the PCB (I2S in/out maybe)?

Missed the sale too, but does the 1/4 to XLR adapter come standard (in the package) or is an add on accessory?

I would suggest a custom TRS to XLR AES cable to minimise the number of parts in the signal path which are not at the correct characteristic impedance of 110ohm.
