We are building a small batch this week. We had to wait on one of the low noise clocks from NDK. For some reason no one had it in stock until just a few days ago.

    Cheers,
    Michael

Yes it does. The 502DAC Pro will be a bit later as we need to order some of the more expensive parts and need the Indiegogo funds for that.

    Cheers,
    Michael

That's okay I ordered the non-pro because I want the digital part more and the DAC is more a spare feature for me.

    Thx.

Ha! Same here. It`s is so good into Gungnir I haven`t even tried the DAC output yet. Even over the optical it`s pretty sweet.
If I ever decide to send in the Gungnir for an upgrade it will come in handy so its a good thing to have.

    Hi, All!
Finally I sold Allo Digione and I can say that it's full of shit. The Hindus did spdif, which sounds like a bad usb. Don't buy it.
    502dac win!
And I recommend 502 to all my friends.

    502DAC Shipping Update

All 502DAC's are built and undergoing testing. Most should ship Monday, all by Tuesday. 502DAC Pro is still 2-3 weeks out based on current part delivery schedule. Campaign funds only came in last Thursday. But, all parts on now on order.

    Cheers,
    Michael

So what do I do to get my unit replaced?
And I really mean that literally. I actually never buy stuff from abroad so I have no clue.

I will be sending you a replacement unit tomorrow. It should take about a week or two to get to you. When you receive it, please pack up the other one and send it back. Postal Service is fine.

    Cheers,
    Michael

Update on 502DAC shipments (not 502DAC Pro).

All the 502DAC's have been built and tested. They will ship first thing tomorrow morning. US and Canada customers can expect it to take 3-5 days, while for international it can be up to 2 weeks. Please pay attention to any notices you get from your local customs. We have had a few instances of boxes being returned for lack of fees paid. Sadly, we can do nothing about that. Also USPS tracking does not always update once it enters your country.

Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] with any questions.

    Cheers,
    Michael

    Mike,

My 502 should arrive soon. A quick question if the hat has 10mm clearance for the rpi3 heatsink? Thx.

Yes, there should be plenty of room. We use 18 mm standoffs to separate the board.

    Cheers,

Got mine today, stuck it on the pi and I have no more drops and clicks from the Gungnir.
It really is a very nice board. Thanks again.

    Hi Michael,

    2 quick questions.
    1. The cut out for the optical spdif is too small so I need to buy a new coax cable.
Is the below going to work fine?
    http://www.audioquest.com/seventy-five-ohm/forest

    2. In Volumio, the source and the dac I should choose "502DAC" when using the digital part of the 502DAC, right?

    Thx again.

Sorry about the optical opening. We had four different cables here and used them to size the opening. If you could measure your and take a photo we can at least adjust for the next time we order them. The cable you linked to is coax not optical. As I mentioned before you do not need an expensive coax cable as long as it is 75 ohm. So, yes, that cable will most certainly work.

As for Volumio, 502DAC is the correct choice. For other players you can choose HifiBerry DAC+ Pro.

    Cheers,
    Michael
