Yah, saw his video, the only takeaway for me was 'beryllium', so I checked the site. The driver seems well-behaved.

Congested soundstage, creaking sound from hinge, bass way above neutral (like +15dB), peaky highs, grainy mids, small cramped pads.. these sums up what I hear about them. Tried brainwavz pads and denon ah-d7200 pads + port (1) block mod. Slightly better but I have few modded earphones like BW-ES1 and DIRAC (under $50) that I prefer over this.

It uses vapor deposited beryllium coated polymer drivers and they are nothing special. If I remember correctly, you can grab a DIY driver from ebay for like $10.

Now let me know when someone starts to put pure beryllium foil or graphene composite diaphragm headphones for around $140.

I have them. I actually like them quite a lot. You'll like them only if you like unapologetically emotional, impactful sound. If you want neutral, stay away.

My two-cents: Its bass performance (both quantity and quality) will blow you away, and it doesn't bleed into other spectra. I actually completely disagree with tgx's "peaky highs, grainy mids". Its midrange and treble sound remarkably smooth to me, and the sound overall is very cohesive.

Weaknesses, in descending order of magnitude, are its soundstage, small ear cups, and solid mid-fi resolution.

Overall, assuming a functioning set of ears, I think it's borderline absurd to dismiss these headphones as anything under "a great value". I've recommended them to anyone who's asked.

here is a BT version and left sided cable

I am trying RBH for about 2 weeks now, I gotta say it is very fun, the bass is as good as the hype and some more. Def less detailed than neutral cans but that is expected. So far it is a very good companion to my M1060. People only should get it if they want that bass otherwise there are more detailed neutral cans out there

I've rolled a number of headphones, trying out new stuff and selling off those that didn't survive the headphone grinder. These days, the HIFIMAN Sundara and the HD650 are my daily drivers. They are the survivors because they're that good. Oh, also the HP-2, the first headphones I bought when purely considering "sound quality". I got these before anyone else had heard about them. They're my oldest pair of headphones. They're my longest survivor.

As it happens, they are also my wife's favorite, and so she uses them as her daily driver. Every now and then, I steal them away and take them for a swing, and every single time my brain explodes. Super smooth frequency response, superb staging for a closed can with proper amplification, good enough detail, and overall musical as F***. I can never properly expect how good these will sound before putting them on. Lastly, but certainly not least the most emotionally griping bass performance I've ever heard in a dynamic headphone. I remember the opening of Game of Thrones literally almost gave me a heart attack listening through these.

After that near-heart attack, I kept checking on RBH's website for when they'll have these back in stock so I could order another pair. After a couple of months of periodic checking, no dice. The RBH guys are great to talk to, so I dropped them a line, and apparently they're working on something new, putting their latest and greatest into it. As such progress has been slow and there's no update, but I for one cannot WAIT to hear what they come out with next.

Interesting. I had considered a pair of these so it's good to know another version is in the works. Appreciate the feedback
