Roll Call | Dubai Friends / Contributors

Hello!

Checking in to see if there's anyone else beside my lonely self in Dubai or the UAE? GCC is OK too for less regular meeting purposes...

I would love to start organising femto-meets, loaners, drinks etc and would be willing to contribute some scratch to that end. Not vast amounts, but could do a couple hundred dollars worth to get the ball rolling.

I'd rather start doing this and hopefully making some great shared experiences, as well as new friends then buying new gear.

There's a Head-Fi Dubai thread, but it's mostly just a place for FS posts. I don't get any sort of community vibe there at all.

We also have a local retailer (Samma3a - which is headphones in Arabic [That I still don't really speak well after 10 years]) who is pretty supportive, knowledgable and has started to make an effort to organise meets etc which is great. I'm planning to speak to them soon about potentially using the space for meets, being able to bring in more than myself would help my case a tad I reckon.
