I say no to all digital fuckery products. Figure that stuff out on your own, it's all marginal side-grade purgatory. Analog or GTFO

I realize a lot here have heard them, but I'd love to hear an HD800.

That was my thinking since the 323S can be had new for about $500 from PJ and doesn't require finding and fiddling with a vintage transformer box. :p A more realistic frame of reference perhaps.

While I've not had an opportunity to write up some in-depth impressions yet, I feel more people need to hear the Mee Audio Pinnacle. I've got about 200 hours on mine so far, and every time I listen to them is like the first time. They're just phenomenal performers for the price IMO and since they're so inexpensive I think it'd be an easy choice to recommend for a tour. I'm mostly interested in people being able to compare them to a wider variety of other IEMs (but specifically other dynamics or the increasingly popular Campfire Jupiter) and giving their accounts. I can't part ways with mine for that long, but I'd be willing to contribute since I feel so strongly about them as a whole package. They kick all the ass!

The Soekris dac1101 would be very interesting. If the Soekris dac is good I'd consider getting one to pair with my Torpedo and moving that rig to the office. On the analog side I'd love to hear a Zu Denon DL103 or Ortofon 2M Black but I assume the logistics of loaner carts would be tricky due to delicacy/resale value.

Sutherland 20/20 would be really interesting as well.

I would be on board for this one too.

That's a good looking list there, @velvetx . I'd love to have an opportunity to spend some time with ampandsound's Mogwai and possibly the CodeX.

The main issue with the Amps & Sound stuff is that it's heavy as crap. Probably 35 pounds? Shipping those is going to cost an arm and a leg, and with all of the exposed transformers and tubes, something is bound to break in shipment if it goes to a dozen people.

Ah, shipping costs could be prohibitive. I'd think they'd have suitable packaging though....

Well, maybe you'll be around next time I'm down in OC. :)

Just a reminder, with the funds raised from the SBAF T-shirt sales, I will be getting a piece or a few pieces of loaner gear with the funds raised for our members. Once the campaign is concluded in 3 days, we can start voting on what gear or multiple pieces of gear everyone would like me to get for the SBAF loaner program

There are only 2 days left to order your shirts, I would like to get a few more sales if possible, so if you have not ordered yet, or want to order a few additional shirts for yourself, friends, or family - now is the time.

Thank you all again for making this campaign a huge success!

Yeah, I'm with Luckbad on that. A tour with tubes is a bad idea. Its just too fragile, and the idea of going through FedEx turnabouts gives me hives. Everytime I buy or sell anything with tubes, I pray long and hard nothing goes wrong. Almost as much as when I ship turntables. Too much bad juju all around. The Amps & Sound stuff is pretty special, so its too bad, but....

But definitely a Mutec, or a Berkeley USB.

Just a noob here, but yeah I like that idea, kinda hard to audition a TIII otherwise (or even just read a wider variety of impressions)... Then again, it's DIY so it might be irrelevant for many regardless and shipping tubes/amps gets tricky.

Not for me, but maybe a bunch of USB cables to show differences. They shouldn't sound different, but, well find out. Or not.

Wrap them all up in identical sheathing with only the male jacks revealed and name them (A, B, C, etc)

Sorry I don't support mutilation of my USB cables, even under the excuse of a cleaner or more hygienic signal.
