    @LFF

    Any possibility of making this available for download? Maybe through a platform like Bandcamp? That would allow very easy distribution and would also give us a way to donate to you in a reliable manner. Plus maybe get some exposure outside of the community here.

    Bandcamp allows FLAC and other lossless formats, I believe.

    Thanks.

    I don't know yet. I've reached out to some artists to license some tracks. The deal is dependent on the limited number of sales. Putting it up indefinitely for download may screw things up. I'll talk to them about it and see what their thoughts are. I was thinking about a limited run of 250.

    While I can see how that'd be playing it safe from a licencing perspective, it kinda puts the pressure on people who may arrive late to the game, so to speak, and be wanting a reference. 250 is a generous number, probably a bit more than necessary for the few truly respectable ears on here who've the gear to back it up, but it kinda puts people on the periphery of the community at a disadvantage.

    I get it though, this is basically a platform for actual, IRL friends to gather and share their expertise for the benefit of the audio community as a whole, and given that things are as such priority need be given to those who have the most to contribute. Not holding that against anyone, but should the run indeed be limited to ~250 pax and sell out in a day, perhaps you could do a subsequent run of the same material using a preorder model (i.e. people front the cost of the CD, or at least 50%) for a more accurate interest check?

    There should be a way to limit the number of purchases on Bandcamp, I know at least one album I bought there was taken down from the site for purchase after the band got a record deal but I'm still able to re-download it. Don't know if that's good enough but something to consider.

    I'd like to get in on this either way, although digital distribution would be my preference.

    If orders for randos are still open, then I'll jump in as well.

    In, if this is open to randos?

    US shipping works, though I'd also bump the digital download idea which keeps cropping up.
