I'm in. Please and thank you.
It’s a great idea! If you are still below 250 takers, or you’re doing digital distribution, I’m interested.
Ok,I'm such a sucker for test cds. I'm in also.
If this is still going, count me in.
Still working on this.
Some artists I have contacted have said no. Others haven't even responded.
Test tones and basic checks are done. Binaural tests are done.
Worse comes to worse, I'll just hire some musicians and record them myself when I'm off from school in January.
I’m in as well.
This project sounds like exactly what I've wanted, a mix of test tones along with a sampling of well recorded and mastered music. When its available I too wish for a copy if they are still available.
Any updates on this or the remasters?
I think the test disc will be all test tones since all of the music people I reached out to have declined. I do have a few binaural test tracks that will be included though.
That's honestly rather sad. Hoping there might be a few musicians here on SBAF who would be willing to lend time and effort to this project, but a reference by LFF is a reference by LFF nonetheless.
Thanks for all the hard work so far! May things elsewhere go smoother than this
I agree with @Lyer25 , a sad situation. Thank-you LFF for all the work that has been accomplished behind-the-scenes in getting to this stage.
Well, that sucks. I don't really need a disc of tones but I'll buy your remasters when the logistics get worked out on those.
Yeah...I spent a lot of time on it too.
I still need to hear back from two more...but my hopes are low.
That's too bad about the lack of participation. Oh well, your efforts are appreciated.
If it's not overstepping to ask, @LFF, are they declining on account of conflicts in schedule, a distaste for the project (?!), or do they just need cash to justify participation? If it's the latter, perhaps a dent might be made in the group's coffers, with consensus from donors and admins of course, and some revenue from the sales used to reconstitute the expenses? This is an SBAF test CD, after all.
I know I'd be happy to participate in crowdfunding some musicians to record for this effort.
@LFF would you consider this to be feasible?
I'd go in on it.
As would I. This is their job after all, they deserve to be paid what they're worth.
LFF - if you would like some assistance, I can help. I too have a dummy head and numerous test instrumentation. And I have more than 100 binaural CDs (!!!).
