Taking it personal like that is some Nwavguy type stuff. Everyone's ranted and raved drunk and made some shitposts but t yeah that's some crazy shiiit taking it personally into someone's private life. Dudes who have actual problems with Head-Fi admins don't post up their parents' houses for Anonymous to egg or something. That would be nuts as this is the internet and this is niche audio gear. To have problems raging about gear that's not actually bad over and over again in threads after you made your point a couple of times as it's 100 to 150 dollars or so over being bang for buck is crazy. To not admit shortcomings of your own gear and rage quit not wanting to hear it is crazy. I use a Modi 2U as it's cheap and legitimately decent and I needed something right away but hell yeah I have upgraditis to solve the Riddle of Steel. Who wouldn't?

 

I seriously think people should be made responsible for what they say on the internet.

Speak up idiotically against a person in real life, and you may get a nice punch in the face.
I don't see why this shouldn't be the case on the internet as well.

Heh that might be me clamping down on the witches. Can't abide spammers, especially not fake health products. If I wanted to read about those I'd read Bad Science by Ben Goldacre. If you want me to tone down on those I suppose I could turn a blind eye once in a while.

Separately, I am glad this thread is still around. Even though we have clear guidelines about "don't be a dick, be prepared for sarcasm," this thread is similar to the Steve Eddy and Judeus devolution threads: highlighting the boundaries of acceptable behavior here. When the time is run, I recommend it be locked and moved into the Bully Pulpit with the others.

Now... Could the "Banned" badge be a little less bright, a little less red, a little less bold? It's about the brightest thing I see on any page. It's hard on they eyes, and it looks more like a prize rosette.
