SourceAV meet in LA on Feb 25th

Refer to this post on Head-fi for more information.

Supposedly, SourceAV will have HE1 along with some other flagship electrostatic headphone systems to show us.

Plus I'm itching to meet some of you guys again.

So who's down for this one?

will there be any sr-omega I at the meet? they are the only electrostatic headphone i haven't hear.

 

Is this a bring your gear meet? I can bring the Beyerdynamic DT1990Pro, Modi Multibit, and Neve RNHP with my CD player.

 

I suggest to ask the question on the head fi thread this announcement came. I think it's a no since it's in a store and there isn't a separate area for where they do things and the store last time I was there.

Hey guys, it is fine to bring you're own gear. Past events the side rooms became a pseudo meet up spot itself with people bringing their own gear and setting that up. This time around the intent is to be half meet where people are free to have their gear our and then the Sennheiser He-1 being the other focus of the event.

I can pass along suggestions to Jason during the week when I get a chance just a bit hectic with CanJam New York around the corner but we all agreed that we liked people setting up their own rigs to have others test it out. I believe there will be empty table available for people to setup.

 

Looks like I'm going. 1:30 pm date with the HE-1. I'll skip the Shangri-la and head straight to the clones...

 

Anyone know if the Sony Z1R is going to be there or could someone bring one? I know Jason usually has various setups and would love to get a listen to the Z1R.

 

Jason is a Sony reseller, I'm sure he got Z1R for you to demo.

 

Jason actually had exclusivity rights for the Z1R launch for the first month so he will have the Z1R and probably a number of cable options. We (Questyle) borrowed his pair to show at CES in our room.

 

How many members are joining?

 

So far right now the appointments for the sennheiser is nearly full, the Hifiman is getting full, the Mr speakers ether stat system is starting to fill up and going to start taking appointments for the Questyle gold stack.

Right now alone, 70 appointments. If you are coming and interested in hearing the systems Jason would recommend getting in appointments soon before they fill up.
