Unfortunately I study in NYC and am possibly giving up my apartment in mid-May :( so I would have nowhere to ship it to.

Looking for inexpensive (less than $100) on the ear bluetooth cans for my two college age daughters.
One is in New York, and we figure its safer to be able to hear, so don't want too much isolation.

Wife wants something brand name, but I told her I no to Bose or Beats lol.

Was thinking about the Skull Candy Grind wireless unless someone has a better suggestion.

    Thanks

I have the Noontec Zoro ii wireless HPs. They sound reasonably decent, and work without lag for watching TV. Good value I think.

Okay, well the T5p is just as treble forward as the HD800, but not as resolving. But it loves tubes too. The TH900 is super fun but is also super "V" shaped with more bass quantity, but the bass is super controlled. And the LCD-XC took everything good about the LCD-X and ruined it. And lower your medical deductible, because your neck will need a doctor's love if you do marathon listening.

Sadly, there is nothing closed that stages the way an HD800 does, so you need to understand that going forward...

    Hello Everyone,

I need some help for an adapter. I purchased a CyberPower Systems Rackbar Surge Protectors - 14x Outlet NEMA 5-20R http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7212645&CatId=232 but the plug is not a standard 3-prong (5-15P?) it is a Nema 5-20R. (I've attached pics). I have been searching what seems like all day for a Nema 2-20R to 3-prong adapter and found a few, but I Am not sure if they are the correct ones. I found this one but not sure if it will work https://www.ebay.com/itm/331944183260

Can anyone help me find the correct adapter? Thank you so much!

Or you could just cut off the cable and put a new connector on there, not bother with the adapter.

Boy that looks a lot like a 30 amp plug end, is your surge protector rated for standard 15 amp circuits?

Was that used in an RV prior to you having it, by chance?

The NEMA L5-20R is a 20 amp plug and is used because it is unlikely to be unplugged accidentally.

After an incredibly fun foray into motorcycling, I,vet decided to come back to audio because I miss sitting down and just listening to good music. Sold my Gungnir Multibit, cavalli carbon, and he-500. I think I'm aiming for cheaper now, prolly the modibit and vali2. Looks like the HE-5 is here for a bit and there's that mono price planar, but I'm wondering if I should just look around for another HE-500.
Any other new goodies I might have missed?

HE-500 is really tough to beat. It has a warm agreeable sound and is relatively easy to drive. The rerelease HE-5 does seem interesting but I would wait until people get their hands on it before purchasing.

A used ZMF Eikon might be up your ally as well. I'm starting to see the #TeamDynamics argument with better macro dynamics and realism compared to planars.

Looks like even used they're running for near $1k and I'm aiming for about $500 or less. Maybe the ol' HiFailMan will be something I'll be getting on krismat

General vote for Noontec. I have the Beats-looking ones. The blind purchase was inspired by Tyl's review. The only thing is, I bought them for travel. They are great when there, but not much good for getting there. Closed, but almost zero isolation. No good for trains, let alone planes.

A youngster might find it a little hard to live with the oh-so-not-trendy-sounding name, though.

For Christmas I'd like to give a friend a new audio toy to play with. Was thinking a Fulla 2 to pair with his HD650. For this type of amp/dac device at a really reasonable price-point, is this the best option available?

I think so, based on my experience. I have used both the Fulla2 and the DragonFly Red (which is twice the price of the Fulla2) with my hd650. The Fulla2 has the most power and sounds pretty darn good. At $100 I'm not aware of anything that has the power of the Fulla2, and the hd650 needs as much power as possible from these little devices. But others may chime in with more informed opinions.

The FX Audio DAC-X6 is also a good alternative. ~1W of power at 32 ohms. Cheaper than the Fulla 2 also. I should be trying one out soon (which I'm only doing because it works with my Switch.)
