I really envy people who just seem to have the knack of keeping records perfect. I don't recall directly damaging an LP, but it just seemed that mine got pops and ticks whatever. Oh, I learned the lesson about heat warping them the hard way... but once was enough, I never made that mistake again.

Scotty....thanks for your support....if you look at the VERY beginning....it says.....IMO !!!!!! Since getting my Yggy I have discovered the joy of music again....I now listen damn near every day....that's the joy the Yggy has brought me with digital files that I did not quite reach before....vinyl is way too much work and lack variety that digital can offer.....I don't even want to get started on Cartridges , previous stylus shapes leaving patterns that a new shape stylus cannot follow like the previous one....

Controlling Roon from my iPad, reading Album liners like I did when I listened to Vinyl (another Roon feature), being able to see all the info on the files....etc...

Hope all you vinyl enthusiasts really enjoy the new Schiit TT !!! I hope it brings the smile to your face that you are looking for!

For whatever reason, the "IMO" didn't register with me the first time I read the second posting. Later I reread it and it did register. That changed the meaning of the post for me. I wonder why the need to post that twice though.

A like from me Larry because you are enjoying music via the DAC (really that is what matters).

Personally I may try vinyl again. I have good memories of it just sounds right/enjoyable ;)

Wish a friend of mine had had a mild surfactant instead of alcohol the night he dropped my tonearm onto a record and blew out the left channel on my beloved Marantz amp. The record survived. So did my friend. Barely.

Yup... vinyl was a great tech achievement, but the world went digital for a reason, not because of absolute quality but simply because it's just so easy and convenient. When you get the urge to listen, you don't want to wait!

Berlin is my favorite Lou Reed album. Really. They’re Taking the Children Away is so life affirming.

The lyrics seemed more cinematic than Rock album stuff to me. When it came out, I was listening to so much unusual music, it just struck me as the new Lou Reed album (which was a good thing). Looking back, I can imagine some RCA execs pooping their pants when they listened to it. I'm sure they couldn't imagine what was to come.

Maybe the Gadget will turn They’re Taking the Children Away into a "feel good" song. ;)

A double feature of Berlin and New York is the only cure I know of for the common cold.

God, spare me from talking to myself. There are rumors (psst – did you hear) that no less than some very key players here are whispering to the world that we are about to come out with a new Yggy analog board. Guess what! The only unsubstantiated rumor is that key players are talking here (read bullshit). It is true, however, that we have new analog boards, digi boards, input boards, all Yggy boards except new USB boards. The only reason I don't have new USB boards anymore is that they finally were good enough to release.

It seems I work on new boards all of the time around here. Now I know some of the chattering class out there may think that I have been so distracted with my R&D agenda that I forgot about my new board release directives, but that is not true. None of the boards I am still working on are yet good enough for public release. If I am going to offer a new whatever kind of board, YBYSA it will be a genuine fuckin' upgrade. That's why I have so few of them.

But I did see Elvis in the Can Jam men's room at RMAF. No schiit.
