I have to install the new system in the Chevy HHR...
I am upgrading my Daily Driver Car.... (Toyota 86)....
So the Chevy HHR is my everyday car....
The stereo drops out... and there is sometimes no sound but the tweeter...
Ouch...

I have the high end equipment to put into it....
But it is in the low priority bin....

I have a list... and it seems that I'm digging out..
And Dish Network is coming June 1st to attempt to hook up the other 5 4K TVs on the Property....
Let's hope they are successful....
Then I can break out the Big D Labs again...

Weeeeeeee!!
Then I can post some results from testing some DACs,,,,,
And maybe even a Turntable or 2 setups......

I want to explore...

It will all be coming.... it looks like in June...

Just ordered Morrow Audio XLR Reference 5 Cables...
These will go in place of my Morrow Audio Reference 4 XLR Cables from the Freya preamp to the Krell KSA-200S....
And I will place the Morrow Audio Reference 4 XLRs from the NuPrime DAC-9 to the Freya XLR inputs....
So I will have AudioQuest Diamond AES coming from the SingXer USB Bridge to the NuPrime DAC-9 and then the full XLR of the Freya preamp once and for all...

This should be very interesting.....
It won't happen for a while yet....
Morrow Audio takes their time building these Cables, and I reckon that it will be a month before the situation comes to fruition..
But what a combination it will be...
Could be something really good..
I'm hoping for some major improvements in the sound.....
The Martin Logan Montis Speaker System could use some top end....
And I think the NuPrime DAC-9 is just the DAC to do it...
With the SingXer USB Bridge.... and the Morrow Audio XLRs all thru the chain...
Holy Moly.... Batman...

I know it is not a Yiggy..
But testing is my game..

Worst case scenario...
I sell the stuff at a minor loss, and get a Yiggy...
So what?

Remember when I said that the last year of the Porsche Spyder was a favorite of mine, and I wanted to buy one....
Well I went on about how people figuired out how good the car is...
Now they are listing the car at 1.8 million...
I knew it...
I just would have exhausted most of my retirement money to buy the one in San Diego that I wanted for $93,000.00. It was A Silver one with low miles. It would have left me with about $45K left. That is cutting it too close at 60 years old funds wise.

Damn it.
Posche is just too much for high rollers....
Almost had one... But I would only settle for that Spyder...
The only modern Porsche that was built proper for my Garage...
Damn.

I have pretty much given up on a newer model of the brand...

On another note.....
I have my Toyota 86 still going thru a major transformation....
A over $10,000.00 one...

It is going to be low-key and very much funtional for the Race Track..
That is what the transformation is all about..
The 86 will be trailered up to Atlanta and Virginia Race Tracks for high speed runs...
It will be filmed in glorious 4K with multiple cameras....
And will be a special feature in my You Tube Channel in the future...
The piece will be pro...

Nothing but professional material coming out of the Labs and my Facilities from now on...
Serious investment has been made to have a "Business to the Stars".....
There is no "Stone Unturned"...
Clients will be flown in, and treated to a 4 Star Hotel just a half mile away from my Studios...

This is REAL....

It is a concept that is elementary..,,
Could have been used before, but I have not seen it...
It is USB with 2 connectors....
One USB Connection for FULL dedicated USB Power to said Unit, whatever that may be....
One USB Connection for Data to the DAC or USB Bridge (connection of choice for best sound), or Streamer Unit.....

This makes sense...
I'm going to buy a 15 foot length one....
And we shall see what gives....
Testing will commence Mid-June with the Cable....
And I look foward to imporvements over my AudioQuest Cinnimon 15 foot Cable I'm using now from my Easy Chair in the Big D Labs....

All is not lost at Porsche....

The new Porsche GT3.....
It is $143,000.00 Base Price Ordered from Germany with a glorious engine....
As a matter of fact....
It is their best 4.0 Engine EVER..... and I mean EVER...

So all is not lost...
I wanted an open Porsche.... I live in Florida...
Three quarters of the year.... Northern Florida is the perfect temperature....
So an open top vehicle is very much appropriate to roll thru the gears on a nice traffic free early morning...

I guess I could live with a coupe at 9,000 rpm screaming with the windows open.... I guess...
It is my only alternative...
I would put some lower gear ratios for the street into the tranny...
Not the Autobahn gears that come with the car, though....
And have them made with the strongest material on the Planet...
Sometimes they will make you a Race Cut as well....
6 Speed Transmission is what they put in there too, instead of 7 Speed Manual...
That is the Smartest thing Porsche has done in years...
I think someone up top is listening to the drivers for once...
Never put a 7 speed manual in a Race Car of a Street Sports Car for the driver..
It is just wrong... end of that subject....
Don't argue with me...
I have been driving fast cars...
This is what is needed....
6 Speed Manual is the Godlike way to drive a sports car or Race Car with manual transmission....

I don't like the Ferrari type of tranny...
Some do like that stuff..
But when my adrenaline is pumping...
I want the whole banana...
And that is the clutch...
And the freakin' shifter..
The pedal called the accelerator pedal....
And all of it in a flash of an eye....
All all once...
Get it...
Now that is Racing...
And till you have been going around a turn with your heart in your chest thumping,,,,,
Changing gears with a shifter, clutching, pedal accelerating and screaming in your mind that you are going to make that turn without sliding out....
You don't know what the Hell I'm talking about....

After careful review...
The Porsche that is listed for 1.8 is their latest SuperCar...
Not the Spyder that I was referring to...

The AD people are smoked..
They don't know how to list a car...
Most of these SuperCars are going at this price....
If this model only had the motor without all the other horse manure...
And was super light... OH BOY... and with a manual....

Then that would be a Real V8 Porsche SuperCar....
Why don't they get REAL and build it at 2500lbs and get over it...
They would have a real car that would do damage to almost any other car out there now...

Oh I'm just a dumb street racer with a fertile mind...
That's sums me up...
Oh well...
At least I have an 86...
And I'm going to build a RACE 86 in the next couple of years...
It will eat Porsche for Lunch....

Real and Audioquest in the same post? In your universe maybe.

USB cables not being able to carry sufficient power is very much a thing of course. People charging phones made in the past couple of years know that. Audioquest? I'm sure Amazon Basics probably have something that will keep your power flowing. I use Aukey. And yes, needed or not, I use them for hifi too: once I came to know about this stuff (from phones) it just seems silly to use a sub-spec power conductor.

The rest is snake oil. Or sticking plaster for bad equipment.

Anyway.... I have a deluge of equipment for testing and I am just plugging everything back into that lovely thing called AC (alternating current)....
Thunderstorms a month ago... that were very severe here in Florida caused me to unplug the Cash Cow (my stereo)....
Then the boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes starting showing up at my door.....
Starting a new business is one Royal Pain in the ASS.... Times TEN.....

Forgot how hard things are getting the logistics of a major Business Venture off the ground is......
NOW I REMEMBER..... OUCH!!
I have recovered.... Thank God...
2 sessions of eight hours sleep this week helped...
At this moment I'm running on 4 hours last night, and 3 hours the night before....
But the boxes are gone.... and the logistics are all done in my mind...
Execution is just in order to make diamonds out the this piece of Coal that I have bought from all these Vendors...
Meaning for those not so sharp of mind...
I can make money with what I bought...
Lots of it.... Weeeeeeeeeee.
10 Times of what I paid for all of it.... Kabeesh...

I feel resfreshed for the 1st time in 7 weeks....
It is a good feeling...
Did not think the time was ever going to come...

Absolutely phenomenal combination of parts.... took some thought....
