To their credit they are extending an existing (ostensibly successful) design. That said, the existing version comes to $1700 odd to configure with an i7, 16gb RAM, Wifi/BT, basic face module and a 256gb nvme card. Not the cheapest. A skull canyon NUC kitted out similarly is $949...albeit with an annoying fan. It remains to be seen where the Hades Canyons price themselves.

No fan is very tempting. Airtop M, which they clam is build for recording studios, costs $1310 with i7 without SSD and can be ordered. I am not into games, so I may go for this one. With Win 10 OEM I already bought and 128 SSD it seems reasonable. If basic HDMI is on the MB, I could put my Xonar Essence STX into it and have a nice, quiet music server.

For music the M should be decent. The CPUs are gen 5 though, and we're on gen 8 now, so that's a bit old. My gen 5 i7 does keep up with DMG plugins running pretty hard on hi-res material, but barely. Don't open Chrome or it all stutters to a halt.
