590 is not a good price for a used PM-2, although he's dropped it to 500 now which is better. I've seen recent sales at 450 or lower.

This is classic. Last night HD600 was $285 on Amazon with one day Prime shipping. This morning they were $316. Now there back to $285. What is this? Dynamic pricing like baseball tickets?

That is really sad to know. I buy from Amazon all the time. But they follow me all around the Internet. The HD600 even showed up on a classic cartoon site. "Amazon takes over world, and nobody gave a shit." Next news headline?

Funny, a while back we had discussion here on the differences between the HD600 and HD650. Didn't take long for the price of both to jump. At one point the HD600 was more expensive than the 650. They must have bots scanning us. Scary.

You can even see different prices sometimes by using private browsing mode or clearing your cookies, or by using a different account (or browsing without an account).

@a44100Hz is right, this just happened to me the other day. MY son's Birthday is coming up and he wanted a gold ps4 controller and it was $45.99 with Prime but I waited until the next day after he left to order it and it was freaking $64.99! Granted it isn't a big ticket item like high-end cans or audio where there could be $100 or more difference in price, but for me $20 is a lot of money.

How does one monitor these fluctuations? Can I get an alert if it falls below a certain price?

Been an Amazon member for a long time. Almost everything they sell is priced on demand! They must have bots going everywhere! A little scary for sure but that's why Jeff Bezos is #2 richest man in the world....soon to be #1!

This just in. Amazon HD650. Was $399 this morning, now $316 with free one day Prime shipping. The bots are active today.

Edit: Or the Massdrop of the HD 6XX put some downward pressure on the price.

It's actually been sitting at $315 for quite a while. Both Adorama and BH Photo have been setting the price, I think, and Amazon matching. Nice thing about either of those companies (both of which are authorized) is that they don't charge tax to many states, unlike amazon.

Yeah, that's what I have seeing too. That's why I was shocked this morning to see it at $399. But come to think of it, I saw it as a link on another website and clicked on it. Those tricky little bots.

I love the camel. I wanted orb audio speakers for Atmos and sides. Normally they are $450 for the 4 pack. I looked at the camel chart for used (commonly means Amazon warehouse deals), determined the low was under $200, set an alert, and within a month, got it!

I know this is obvious, but you guys ARE checking the seller when you see the price fluctuations, right?

Like a paranoiac. I only use 3rd party sellers to buy books and cheap used CD's.

Edit: This bothers me. Since I posted here about the HD600 and 650 yesterday, every site I visit other than this one has a link to both headphones. And now Monoprice is following me around with ads for the M1060. Only place I have said anything about it is on here I think.
