A guy on Canuck Audio Mart has two AHB2s for sale at 2500CAD each. It seems like decent deal to me, but I'm not really familiar with CA pricing on these. Perhaps @Armaegis can weigh in?

It's not uncommon to see those sell at 2.5k USD.

His user name (lis88b2h) doesn't show up on a Google search other than that one ad, FWIW.

Premium asking price on it too... though it looks practically unused. Note the sticker on the underside of the headband.

The username is mluo1142. The lis# is the listing number on audiogon. When you're looking for the usernames there in the future, look to the right side of the page. There's a little box with seller information.

Sorry about that everybody. I shouldn't post while I'm still waking up.

mluo1142 gets a couple of hits on google (besides the Audiogon listing), FWIW. Edit: Doesn't look like anything to do with the seller. Edit 2: He takes Paypal.

Well to be fair, they do say its from a household sale. But I would ask for references for ebay and the like...

I see no reason to be fair. If I were trying to scam someone, that's exactly the kind of story that I'd use. ;)

Definitely could be a scammer, but if I were a scammer I'd have posted something without a bunch of unfortunate-looking gunk on its back transformer. Plus, for an auction, it seems kinda weird that a scammer would post an obscure, out-of-production amplifier that'll be lucky to get a handful of bids...you'd think they'd go for something more in demand to drive up the price or just do a buy-it-now sort of posting to lock in the mark quickly. At least neither of the pictures yielded anything in google image search, so it's not like the seller just found some pics on the Internet or something. And you'd think a scammer would offer the granite block and pads too, to jack up the shipping cost if nothing else. All in all, certainly a bit of a risky buy, but probably just an estate seller who knows nothing about audio trying to sell off an audiophile's estate.
