    @Riotvan

That's actually pretty innovative, don't think I've seen that before. Seems like a cool game mode. I think I'll pass myself but someone else might be interested. :)

I'm loving the new Metroid. So happy to see this series get a 'new' entry. It is also nice to see 2D making a return. Anyone else playing it?

Came across these Switch cases while searching for a work bag. They're beautiful and I thought some of the Switch owners here might be interested

Been playing a lot of Destiny 2 and it's a better game than the original in many ways. I'd forgotten how addictive it can be, especially with a group of friends.

Binged Mario + Rabbids and finished campaign, challenges and the ultimate challenges. What an epic game. The only levels I missed perfect the first play were 4-8 and the final boss but I got them each with another try. It did take me a few tries to get through the last two ultimate challenges. The fourth in particular was crazy fun and took me almost an hour from beginning to end.

I never imagined this game would capture my attention like it did but it was masterfully done. Streamlined XCOM in a bright, colorful, friendly world works about 1000x better than I expected.

I have a waterfield case for my Vita and I will be the voice of dissent and say the switch one looks like a clutch purse (confirmed by my wife).

Just pick up some shoes to go with it and you're golden.

Honestly, I haven't felt like it was any classier than the generic cases and definitely not as protective as the semi hard ones. If I could go back I'd keep $50 and a $30 case instead.

I saw a pretty decent generic case at the Nintendo store in NYC when I was there a while back but passed on it. It was a Japanese brand, but I forget the name. I probably should have bought it because the improvised case I use now is not really a good fit. The switch is so damn long with the joycons attached it's hard to repurpose something that wasn't designed for it.

I'm already in a small clan made up of Destiny 1 friends, but everyone is abandoning because you need a lot of people contributing to get the good rewards. The cap per character is way too low so even if you spend a lot of time playing, you're not contributing much to the clan. I may have to abandon the clan as well if everyone leave. I'd be down for a SBAF clan if there are enough people willing to join.

The Vita one does too though. I guess it's more compact and a tighter fit.

I'm using the obnoxious Breath of the Wild one that came with the collector's edition. At launch, all of the carrying cases for the switch were pretty much sold out so I stuck with this. It's a nice case overall, but I wish it wasn't so obvious that I'm carrying a console with me.

Mario + Rabbids is wonderful and it actually gets more challenging. I need to get back to playing it. Whatever limited time I have for gaming is all dedicated to Destiny right now.

Agreed. It does look like a clutch purse to me, too. I guess my expectations were too high.

I got this one at launch from Walmart on sale. I really like it and it's not super obvious what's inside:

I definitely wish they added some harder/longer additional challenges.

I'm probably going to play Samus Returns next. It looks amazing. I just wish I had bought a dual IPS NN3DS (non-XL) on ebay before the prices went through the roof. I have a top IPS XL but I'd like the smaller form factor of the NN3DS if possible.

Gotta go on a short rant here. My girl and my best friend's wife went out traveling so they left us with a men's weekend. Apart from booze we decided to spontaneously upgrade to a PS4 with NBA 2K18 for some local multiplayer fun. First bump: NBA 2K took two hours to install! WTF! Is this a console or a PC?

Now the basic game is good but not great. This is a new discussion but honestly I have to say the advertisement is a bit too much. Could be that some think it's closer to the actual experience. But what's not ok is collecting VC points. That shit takes forever! For a paid game!?
The players from the historical teams look exactly like they did on 2K13 (PS3), no visual upgrade here. New players look very detailed and realistic. However, what the F is up with coaches? Damn, they are so ugly and the clothing physics look crap most of the time. 2K really changed nothing and just updated rosters and keep charging for it. Criminals. 2K should just make it a free game and take real money to unlock your favorite teams or charge only for a yearly roster update. Unless that happens, there's no way I am going to pay for any other NBA 2K game again!

So we were both bummed out and decided to buy FIFA 18 on PSN instead. 45 GB in 2 hours, seems ok. Haha. Ha... That was only the download. The installation took from 12am to 4pm! I am not joking! You get to play the demo while it installs, but that's it! That is an absolute joke and I think it's really, really sad that video gamers can accept that. This is supposed to be a console? Where's the difference to PC gaming? And nowhere in a review did I see somebody criticize it. It seems as if long installation times are acceptable by now.
The game is much better than NBA 2K. Graphics, physics, atmosphere, etc. It makes 2K look even more pathetic. My only issue is that it seems a bit too favorable for super stars. Good luck taking the ball away from Ronaldo or missing a shot with Neymar. Well, you can use it to your advantage too, of course. It's fan service but it feels like FIFA had some unofficial finance injections by big players' marketing teams. No way the programmers stayed objective on this. Anyway, good game with great drama if you play against a friend. German commentators suck and keep repeating the same sentences - English one is decent.

I had planned to keep the PS4, especially looking forward to RDR2. But now I know that current-gen consoles are not for me. The PS3 was already disastrous with installing updates and loading times, I guess it's even much worse now.

Yep, one if not the contender for my personal game of the year.

Cuphead is so good. It's beautiful, challenging, addictive, and so clever at times.

I wanted to post a photo but i'll post a link to a photo instead because I don't want to spoil the game for those who'd rather not see some of the bosses

Fellow guardian checking in. I'm playing on PS4 now, but looking forward to the PC version in the following weeks.

Been waiting for a dual IPS new 3DS non-XL to go for a reasonable price. Managed to get one for $130 and picked up the 024 faceplates from an importer. Awesome system, feels like an upgrade from my new 3ds XL in terms of build quality and also screen PPI. Metroid was pretty ugly on the XL, but the slightly smaller screen of the non-XL seems just right.

I have about 70 hours in it now and am probably 70% through the main story while completing a decent portion of the side-quest content.

It is truly one of the best RPGs ever made, these days I don't find myself playing much other than multiplayer games, however, this game has locked up the lion's share of my gaming time in the past few weeks.

If you played the first and liked it, you will like OS2. If you like deep RPGs and don't mind the turn-based action point style combat (IMO the implementation here is excellent) then I can't see you disliking it.

Note that playing through the first one is definitely not a requirement in terms of understanding story.
