Got my basement HT setup and finally started playing Horizon on the PS4 pro. It's actually perfect timing since the latest pro patch added super sampling making the pro a decent proposition for 1080p owners.

Nice! What consoles have been enabled so far? I might pick it up once we know all the possibilities.

Yup just asked the same question on the previous page, lol

I'm really liking it. No magic, hard fights, armor that breaks realistically fast and is accordingly heavy and noisy, the list goes on...

Having a great time right now :)

I got pretty good with pretty much everything. Archery, Pick-pocketing, Lock-picking, Fighting, etc.

    Totally recommended.

Love Wild Arms, especially the 1st one. Isnt the alter code F a remake of the 1st one?

Do you like Suikoden? Over the years, i keep replaying Suikoden series. I just recently replayed Suikoden 5. What a storyline...what a game. Totally underrated. I think it is the best Suikoden, together with Suukoden 2.

Yup, Alter Code F is basically the first WA game remade. WA4 was my introduction to the series, and while it did have its share of shortcomings (I loved the comicbook cutout dialogues though), it was still a thoroughly enjoyable game. It was one of my first ever PS2 games, if memory serves— I've always been a late adopter, still have yet to get a PS4 :p

Anyway, went on to play WA5 once it came out in English a bit after I finished 4. Didn't get to finish it either, come to think of it. I tried getting into that one PSP WA game, kinda dropped it after a while. Sigh.

And YES. Suikoden IV is one of my all-time fave games, alongside Tales of the Abyss and Persona 4 Golden (I have a thing for JRPGs, okay? XD). Also got started on Suikoden V, but I didn't get to finish it before my PS2 died. I've also been meaning to play I-III since I've been told the latter games in the series fail to live up to them, but as far as I'm concerned, the nice graphics kinda make up for it, haha.

Suikoden 4 is generally regarded as the absolute worst in the series. Far behind the rest. There is also almost no connection with the other series as well.

1 and 2 are connected amd kinda like one long game. So u shud play 1 before 2. Most people consider these 2 as the best Suikoden.

5 is by far the most beautiful Suikoden imo. It started kinda slow, but gained pace kater on. The whole game is like a piece of manga art. Again, storyline is very strong here.

Too bad it is the last one. To me, it is the best JRPG series ever.

Don't meant to ruin your mood. I grew up with J-RPGs, especially FF series. But nowadays, they are just not the same. I had high expectation with FF15 but it really is not the same level of quality of FF series in the past. I think they have lost it since FF10. Nowadays, I'm putting my money with Western RPGs.

One of my fav one is FF4 (or FF2 in the US). They made a remake of it in PSP, and it is amazing. Even better than the original one; the best game remake I have seen. Probably the best FF for me, along with FF6, 7, and 9.

    Me! Me! :p

I've just recently got a PS4 and finished The Last of Us. What a great game, just intense. Sound design was brilliant. I hope the upcoming God of War could invoke that feeling of playing TLOU for the first time again, seeing the similarities.

I absolutely adore Firewatch so I will definitely check out What Remains of Edith Finch soon. Thank you for the recommendation @Dr. Higgs !

My all-time favs are FFVII and VIII and nothing will change this. The only game better than these was Vagrant Story. I was fanatical about it and I've finished it 32 times exactly.

But getting back to FFVII, well, to have both weapons obliterated while having a coffee and not touching keyboard at all, well, the sensation was unbeatable. I play FFXV just because it's a FF title, but something tells me that I won't finish it and that's rather sad.

I feel FF VIII was the best FF so far, mainly cause that was the only one I actually played through multiple times start to end, and still listen to the OST. Too bad there's no remake anytime soon...

    I haven't played any FF's since FFVIII.

I enjoyed it quite a bit but I also think it's where JRPGs started to go downhill. That's about where JRPG developers started tossing the standard D&D inspired equipment and spell lists overboard and instead of replacing them anything innovative or cohesive (like the materia system in VII) thew just threw random ideas at the wall in hopes that something would stick.

VIII's combat and equipment system isn't nearly as all over the place as most modern JRPS I've played, but it was the first one I played where it never 'gelled' and all made since at the end.

Right now I'm getting close to the end of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the only thing that keeps it tolerable is the Mitsuda Yasunori soundtrack.

Final Fantasy VI is the best one IMO. I started playing Vagrant Story last night! Never got around to playing it. Using retroarch at 32x resolution though. Looks and plays great.
