Hehe, I would probably scar you for life. I don't do normal cleans just the really nasty stuff no one else wants to deal with.

I should do a thread giving oral hygiene advice for starving students. Teach you guys how to save money and avoid big dental bills as well as tell you what products are recommended. Prevention is much better than cure.

Think that'd be relevant to everyone as well, not just starving students. A penny saved in dental means a penny spent in audio.

Wow, do you have to wear full protective clothing? How bad can a mouth get?*

Somehow I'm thinking of what, in India, is called manual scavenging, which covers the clearing of turds by hand, diving (without protection) into sewers, etc and disgusting etc. Supposed to now be illegal but still done. o_O

*OK, I suppose most of us have encountered mouths that are stinky. Thankfully, we don't have to get up-close.

You would be surprised. Maggots, salivary stones, bone fragments.. I've pulled all that stuff out of peoples mouths.
I wear full PPE due to constant blood flying around. I think my job actually got rated one of the most dangerous in America due to radiation, risk of infectious disease and i think dealing with the public all day (high suicide rates).
Worth it to have a studio though ;)

I'll start a thread giving oral hygiene advice.

Wow SBAF covers a wide spectrum when it comes to profession.
I am an engineering prof, next time you post that FR graph I'll be ready with my red pen!
(wish I was half as good at DSP as some people here, more of a computer vision/graphics guy)

Currently a CS student, which means I get to enjoy the deep irony of writing computer code out on paper, and I do residential HVAC. Previously, semi-pro competition shooter.

You might have the most disturbing avatar I've ever seen.

I have a friend just graduated from dental prog. Saw one pic of super ughly nasty mouth (disease?). Some people are insanely lazy to maintain dental hygiene.

Yes, we need a dental care thread. For example, my ongoing dilemma: OralB or Phillips Sonicare?

Oh god that brings bad memories of trying to do camera vision and video output on FPGA. I think that was one of the most hair-loss inducing episodes in Uni.

Hopefully your professors mark based on logic and not exact syntax.

lol yes, teaching CV 101 this semester, stereo vision and camera calibration always confuses the hell out of people. Everyone loves cool AR/VR demos though, I wish I could teach game development or something, more programming less math, more fun less writing.

Oh man the thread finally opened up to people who don't actually have a job yet lol. I'm a Breeding And Preservation Of Wild And Companion Animals student! Basically uh it's a very supply chain oriented degree where you kinda don't get enough knowledge to do much outside the breeding/inspection field. And zoos and labs, I guess! Also, I'm preparing to get a veterinarian paramedic license, but I need to land on a month that won't have me spend a lot on unrelated stuff for that. :(

Ah yes, the classic student triangle dilemma. Pick two of the three; Job opportunity, career related experience, and free time.

If you get the chance to work with Kakapos go for it. Why so? Well because "Last Chance To See" and Stephen Fry uttered one of the funniest lines ever: "You have just been shagged by a rare parrot."
