Where were these awesome deals on Parasound DACs when I was trying to track one down. Great deal on a solid DAC.

oh god, the PCM63k was awesome as hell. someone pick this up before I buy it. I suspect it's somewhere between the Modi Multibit and Gungnir Multibit, especially if you have a good transport.

Zd, small detail but the 1100 had pcm63p-j iirc. Also no rack ears ftw.

Yep, I'll agree to that! I originally got it to be a backup dac, but the dac and its huge box are just taking up too much space in my room. The gamma2 will do just fine as a backup.

Yes, it's the stock J grade chip. You can see it from the pic of the innards. It is upgradeable of course, and there is some stock of K grade chips on ebay.

Nice! Might pick up for my mom's system for mother's day and do the upgrade myself. This is a really freaking good price. I prefer the PCM63 based DACs to the PCM1702 and PCM1704 successors.

For those wondering, the Lynx breakout cable is AES output only for our audio purposes. If you want to use BNC or RCA Coaxial, you need to get this and a BNC cable + adapter (for coax).
