That is quite an achievement. We have 14 stairs in our home and I know very well what an effort that takes.

I had A section tickets and got there 10min before opening and sat second row with my cousin. Seating is first come first serve, no assigned seats, just sections

But if your body is fine with it, absolutely drink coffee! I wasn't so much into the caffeine as the flavour, which I really miss. Especially when I catch a whiff of it.

@roshambo123 The complex relation between caffeine, cortisol, and anxiety; dehydration in the summer. I always start with a sports drink (Propel packet). And I'm precise about the amount of caffeine: I figured out how much I need to feel awake without feeling "wired."

@Claritas This is interesting. I will start my day with some electrolytes also before coffee and see how that goes!

That was meant to be a post on my profile but my eyes are crossing after 6 hrs of lab work each day, mostly iFi Diablo. And I'm very fortunate to have a wife that encourages me to listen to my music while she watches cooking videos.

what amazes me is how effective listening to music for an hour each night is at lowering my blood pressure. literally down 10-15 mm Hg, or more on some nights.

@yotacowboy : when I suffered from afib (before ablations) I found that calming music on stellar systems would help me to spontaneously self convert. Far better than going for a cardioversion. 400J blast to the body.

I have a set of 6 month old S4R that are losing connection in the right channel (confirmed with 3 different cables). Ollo is ghosting me on the support request... its been a month (they claim 48 hrs)

That's tough to hear, I had high hopes for them after hearing the S4X. If they don't do right by the customer that's a no-buy for me.

Update... I put up the profile post, and they respond this morning... stating that my junk mail filter must not have let their message thru. They are supposed to be arranging for it to be picked up (presumably via UPS or something) on Monday. Will update

Little Buddy Move has sounds below 10 Hz !!!

Having Clear and several HD800 of various mod levels, the HD800 spend more in recreational listening than Clears. My personal preferences, YMMV, etc.

The Clear OG might be good with the A2 but what’s in the middle might determine if it’s what you’re looking for. Also if you didn’t care for the Elex, you might not like the Clear (assuming metallic timbre that bugs some folks). I enjoy mine but yeah trade offs. It would be ideal if you can try before committing.

@Thad E Ginathom Sad to hear about your degrading hearing. Especially in this hobby, that’s not nice. I hope you will be able to enjoy music for a long time, anyway.

As to that Mimi rating: Activating the correction feature still adds lots of treble. So I guess this just means I’ll have no problem with my hearing in daily life. Or it’s relative to my age, but then the texts wouldn’t really make sense.

Thank you @zottel. I have given up on *hi-fi* as such, several years back and only hang around here for the folk --- and the occasional topic that tickles, sometimes controversially. Oh, and the porn, of course! ;)
