Music give you chills? https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/researchers-look-what-happens-brain-when-music-causes-chills-180959481/
After searching for years, finally picking up a HE4. Will be fun to mod and get some ear-time with this obscure headphone.
Prophile 8 is an excellent sounding IEM. Unfortunately no amount of tip-rolling gives me a comfortable fit. Stagedivers are not a problem.
If you ‘cock ring’ them you can try spiral dots, which I found to be most comfortable with the Prophiles.
1. Cut the central coloured part out of a spinfit. 2. Split into two ‘rings’. 3. Slide the ring onto the shaft. 4. Wunderbar! You will now have enough girth to use spiral dots.
Actually, I think I made it out of that central part of a comply that is left over after you peel the butt plug material off. There have been so many cock rings over the years sometimes I lose track of what went where...
Sia may be the best female vocalist of the past decades since 2K. She is so versatile. I want to hear that L.S.D. album.
Working on analyzing data in excel while listening to Bach Organ Works with HD6XX, not a completely terrible Wednesday night...
Woke up from a horrible dream: Disney made a live version movie of Al'adin and Will Smith was the djinni, but he wasn't black, he was blue.
At least we can be happy that the remake of Road House starring Rhonda Rousey in Patrick Swayze's roll appears to be shelved for now. Hopefully it stays that way. Road House 2 was already bad enough, lol.
I'm 90% sure David Bowie had tinnitus, or hearing damage, which made him master some of his albums overly bright. Still a big fan of course.
Dino (RIP) said something to that effect here: https://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/david-bowies-personal-stereo-is-on-display-and-is-up-for-sale-now.2852/
@fraggler Yupp, it was just that I listened to the entire spiders from mars album again for the first time in probably 10 years and it all came back to me.
Yeah, I don't rate the Benchmark Dacs. They're very overpriced IMHO. They'd be ok for some tastes, and some systems, for half the price they are.
Zero sabre glare, ultra resolving, pitch black background. Source match compared to the Yggdrasil A2, the X-Sabre has the grayness removed, sound-stage is wider and I hate to use this word, but more air around the instruments. I think on par or better than the Mytek Manhattan dac but way cheaper. But yeah, destroys Benchmark Dac3 and the horrible Brooklyn +. Not sure why the Matrix is not discussed here more often.
Sweet Jesus, I know what I’m doing Saturday. 3 buildings, 3 million records. https://youtu.be/wYVvJAY7URk
That's interesting, never seen that before. Seems like a relic from it's past, and not anything anyone uses today.
Yep, the Porta Pro is an old design, dating back to '84, I think? Easier to imagine call center workers in the '80s with their Porta Pro and little pompom mic. They sound better than they have any right to, though!
Good! You were supposed to insert an "o" into "cat" so that "white" would make sense. But hey... it's the way I tell 'em ;)
It is even more convoluted: his full name is Dr. Emmett T. Brown. T for trouble and not to be confused with Doc in Back to the Future. Well sort of.
Lab results for lab cat were within normal range - likely a one-off event. Life has returned to regularly scheduled chaotic program. AES meeting was a great interview of Bob Ezrin. DSHA-3F is proving to be a fantastic listen, especially nice presentation of Pink Floyd.
Probably but I'm not keen on supporting a company that charges exorbitant prices for pads and headbands and doesn't support their customers.
I feel you on that, there's a reason every time I've heard a Utopia it was at a meet or showroom and not my own pair.
The soundtracks of VCR6 Castlevania 3 basically is stating: the music king of Famicom is Konami, period.
Quick comparison last night with the DigiOne was that the DigiOnesounds smoother and less upfront. Bass digs deeper too.
I'm so glad you enjoy the NAD! It's super unfriendly but works awesome when you can deal with it's kinks.
Yeah. It is pretty bare bones, but I like it. Hopefully in the coming weeks can try the Dirac. Have you played around with that yet?
