This book of the Bible makes more sense than almost all of it. The irony is that it is often ignored and then you look at the Church today...

I grew up in a religious family. The Proverbs and Ecclesiastes are the books that force you to reflect and think before you act.

Some religious people are like Ultrasone fanatics. They do not think, they act without consideration and give the audio hobby a bad name, a very bad name. That is as far as I will go. Back to music...

I prefer not to look at it. :bird:

haha... from the same song I quoted above, ...a world that Christ fought is supported by using his name.

It's Roy Harper, by the way, McGoohan's Blues, Folkejokeopus, 1969. Probably a few might have recognised it.

The Dead sang [from bad memory]

Child of mine, you'll never get far,
I'll tell you the reason, you ought to know,
There isn't really very far to go.

Crazy to open this thread and see Ecclesiastes quoted. I was just studying Chapter 9. Our church has been going through it this fall in our small groups.

Floods in Chennai, India, December 2015

I guess this is a random thought: I don't know what else to call it!

I just wanted to say hello I'm back, after my home was filled with waist-deep dirty water on December 2nd.

The question that everyone will ask (if at all) is Are the HD600s safe? and the answer is yes. Sadly, the same is not true of a heap of possessions, books and furniture, some of which I have had for fifty years. We were out of our house for twelve days, and still have a lot of cleaning up to do. It might even go on for ever.

I can't possible catch up, even with favourite threads, so I guess it's mark all read and a new start

I think Koth Ganesh, of this city, is ok. We haven't been in touch since the worst hot this city, but he had told me that his house is on high ground.

Thanks, gentlemen. Yes, it was probably the worst day of my life, and the most horrible experience. Let's hope it stays the worst!

I don't know anyone who lost their life in the flood, but many lives were lost.

Cheers! We are recovering quite well now, and I am even getting out to concerts, but I expect the cleaning and mould killing to probably go on for ever.

I met Mr Koth Ganesh the other day. Chennai is like that: I guess it compares with London for size, but I seldom used to meet people I knew on the street, whereas here it happens quite often!

He's fine. He was not touched by the flood, but was laid low for some time by a nasty flu-type bug. He seems to be very happy just listening to whatever it is he's listening to, rather than posting about other stuff. It's the way to go! :)

Glad to hear you are doing okay! Also, hope Koth Ganesh comes by now and again.

O.K. Everybody, let’s get to work on this.

@purr1n When’s the last time you had your hearing checked? By a trained audiologist. It goes downhill fast after 50. I’m referring to sex not hearing. :D

    Happy Birthday my friend.
