I am helping an ill friend sell his audio collection. To start, I am listing for sale his beautiful sounding K1000 headphones. This is the actual set which started my appreciation for this unique headphone. I would buy it myself but I already have 2 sets. Serial number is 04255, and from their sound I believe they are the bass-heavy type.

As you can see from the photos it is in excellent condition. The only issue with the headphones is the right rear temple pad has a tendency to fall off. I have not yet tried adding any glue to fix it myself. The wood case is in very good condition with only a small mark on the left top edge.

Price is $1300 + shipping. PayPal add 3%.

Got to hear and measure this @ the Pasadena meet.

I think I should have more clearly asked @Donald North to measure them and stuff. Hopefully I did not thick him off that much.

Anyway. These are awesome and @ $1300 I think these are a bargain given rarity and condition. Consider this is coming from a cheap bastid. Great pairing with the Stellaris (these may need a special amp given power needs). This particular headphone (actually open baffle ear-speakers) is definitively not shit.

IMO, these are real ear-speakers (more so than Stax and similar) as they do not couple as much with the ear and do not use seal at all to deliver. Surprisingly, I don't think these leak sound as much as I expected. They do of course, but not as much as I originally thought.

Sounds really great out of an EAR speaker amp as well.
