The thread demands to be renamed:

LOL. I'm just glad you guys tried it with monitors first. I would have been pissed if I had moved a pair of 190 pound speakers.

I see that those interested in this technology have prevailed on the moderators of SBAF to add Ambiophonics as a main category. We should only invite Big D now to join the discussion...

Just a note....Ambiophonics DOES have to do with the recording process. There are microphones made for this kind of stuff. IMHO, they don't work as well as a tetramic or even a binaural head. A simple Blumlein arragement works wonders.

Hi Arok, I am not sure why 6.6dB is working for you unless there is some DSP such SRS in the soundcard engaged. Could you PM me to discuss further? I am not sure whether Ambiophonics discussion is suitable here. If you are located in US, AES 143rd Convention is making a technical visit to Ambiophonics centre. You can join them to learn more as the settings are bit tricky and depended on your file format.

Recording processes and microphone arrays are mentioned on the Ambiophonics site under Rec Engineers Corner. I think it's funny that I get accused of "not reading the links".

Each BMR weighs 40 lbs and my stands are 60lbs each (filled with lead shot and sand). It sucked.

The FAQ page on the Froggiphonics site requests that true believers spread the good word to various audio forums and ask the moderators of such forums to create dedicated subforums to further spread the good word.

I figured we should be the first.

I just browsed through the website. I can't go any further. More propaganda on that site than for DSD

Wasn't he the guy that developed machines to normalise people?

    I think it's a dig on scientologists:
    L. Ron Hubbard
“The first principle of my own philosophy is that wisdom is meant for anyone who wishes to reach for it. It is the servant of the commoner and king alike and should never be regarded with awe.”

Yep. I know. And normalise wasn't the word, it was something else. Maybe processing, but, perhaps that's peas. But hey, audio jokes sometimes work, and sometimes fall, erm... flat.

I didn't know the quote, though. Just the guy's name. Had relatives who were big in UK scientology. Then, one day, they got out and never said much about it thereafter.

Scientology had a shop in London. Passers by would be invited in for a "free personality test." A friend and I got thrown out for singing Zappa's "What's the ugliest part of your body."
