I think they're referring the the USB power cables (+/-5 VDC) within the USB cable....

Did you try using a lighting adapter that is plugged into both the Eitr and a wall outlet?

If you have a Wyrd, you could also try putting that between the source and the Eitr.

I apologize in advance if this question is better suited to the "Decrapifier / Nervosa" thread (or if its just a dumb ass question!). But did you try having the Regen between the source and Eitr?

I read earlier that having a Wyrd in the chain in this manner is redundant but I'm curious about the Regen. Cheers.

Why would adding a Regen to the chain benefit the Eitr?

Are they using a genuine Apple Camera Connector Kit (CCK) cable? That's the only way I was able to use a Fiio Q1 unit. Which sucked.

Mine is here but I can't get the Windows 10 drivers to install. Just gives me a "please connect the c media usb2.0 audio device" loop.

Fortunately it is working with the new Win 10 USB 2 audio driver in WASAPI but I would like to have the driver installed for comparison.

If you don't make any headway, you can email Schiit support; they're very good.

Yep, contact support. I had the same thing but luckily have another device that uses the same input that was detected. Happened to me on Windows 10 and 7.

I've had it happen numerous times with C-Media drivers. Super annoying that they won't just let you install the drivers without the device being connected.

Has anyone gotten a chance to put the Eitr up against a Mutec? Thinking about doing so myself and selling the loser.

Good idea, I have a Bifrost somewhere that may let me do the install.

It does work using the new built in Windows 10 USB 2 audio drivers (like on a Mac). In many cases I have found the Win 10 drivers to sound better on devices that support the USB 2 audio standard.

My first listening impressions with the Eitr are quite favorable, I'm going to wait until this evening when it's quiet and do some comparisons.

On Mutec: Scroll back. Ravi and Ian have already covered this.

I don't know about what is used to connect to the Eitr. I have current and previous versions of the CCK. Neither works with my iPad/iPhone with my La Scala Opto DAC. Thus, I am looking for a USB interface which will allow me solve this problem. It would be nice if Eitr can work in this application.

I tried using Eitr with both CCK adapters for Apple. Including the one that acts as a USB hub (CCK USB 3 Apple adapter). No audible music.

Still checking to see if anyone has been able to listen to iPad/iPhone using Eitr?

    Thank you.

Yes I used that one and the older version which is just a USB female to Lightning. Neither worked with iPad nor iPhone on both my set ups (Mjolnir-Gumbi-Eitr and Vali 2- Mimbi-Eitr). The iPhone or iPad is critical for in bed listening i.e. middle of the night and not wanting to bother anyone.

With the iPhone and iPad issues.... I did some testing with my setup...

I couldn't get either the iPhone 7plus or the iPad Pro 12.9 to play using the Eitr either. The devices recognize the Eitr but no sound.
I tried inserting the Wyrd into the mix before the Eitr just to see and same result.
So I tried my MacBook Pro using Tidal and it's acting flaky as well. I can't get it to play without the Wyrd in the line and If I choose the exclusive mode it all stops working.

Now that said my PC and windows laptop work flawlessly.

So I'm not sure whats going on here with the Apple devices... they work going straight into the DAC via usb though.

Eitr with my Mac is also no longer working. Only worked for 10 minutes from one USB port and 10 minutes from the other port. And then nothing even when I try later or reconnect everything, try different cables and restart computer. And do a few jumping jacks to get rid of frustration.

Same behavior here; Eitr not working with iPad anymore. It somehow locked DAC at 44k and worked and now, always locking at 48K and isn't working though song plays (I mean the slider is moving with remaining time decreasing).
