Didn’t know where to put this, but since it was raised in this thread, I’ll post it here.

Initially i didn’t know who you guys were talking about, but then dots got connected and I realized that is was @bigfatpaulie. I met the guy in a meet last year and it was hard to believe that he would attempt something like this and tries to screw a fellow member either here or on HF. I decided to reach out to him and get his side of the story. Not sure if anyone here cares, but for the record here it is.

He eventually got that Yggdrasil repaired, then initially put it up for sale on Canuck Audio Mart without mentioning the repair until he edited that information in a few days later.

 

Considering that they saw ALL the transcripts, I don't think there was a rash judgement. Judeus/Johan has his side of the story too.

Personally I thought he was a great member and I hope his ban is temporary.

Apologies for the off topic, but I've been wondering this for a while: Why do the sellers in Head-Fi ads always go back and zero out the transaction price after a sale?

Or maybe it's an admin thing, but that seems a huge and useless waste of mod time.

 

I find it odd too, I know on all the watch sites I've sold on they require you to keep the posted price as a condition on selling on the site and it helps establish a current market value. Same thing on sites where I've sold CDs.

 

Agreed, it's super annoying when you're trying to see the market trend for an item you're trying to sell to give a fair price.

 

A crack-free LFF Code-X in seemingly good condition for $1695. I would've grabbed it in the blink of an eye if I hadn't already owned one. Hope this ends up in the hands of someone in this community.
