Type O for death metal but this chart is dumb and made by music theory illiterate idiots.

Some of the genres made me LOL, then I realized they really do exist (but are all of them really music....?). I am all over the place like in real life - charts have a hard time defining me completely. That said, Mozart uber alles.

It can. Justin Bieber is a thing. But we must not succumb to fear.

I'm genuinely glad you feel this way.

If folks are curious about a given genre, the easiest thing is to go to Bandcamp.com, and type the name of the genre into the search box. You will get a number of results, most likely not related to your objective, but if you look on the right you'll see a hyperlink to recordings tagged with the subject of your search. Click on that and you're on your way!

As an example, I've really gotten into Lowecase lately. The sound is full of the unexpected and truly takes on a life of its own with headphones. The above is how I look for new titles.

All of the above. "Whaddaya mean I can't have Bach, Xenakis, Rodney Crowell, and Ornette Coleman in the same playlist?"

    hello,

i object to easy listening as a genre at all. Frankie ain't really easy listening especially "Frank Sinatra Sings For Only the Lonely."

lol at dubstep in 'real music'. It seems like a bunch of tone-deaf 4chan neckbeards made those charts.

Where does Bill Shatner's spoken word cover of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds fall?

Spent a better part of last night auditioning titles in Bandcamp's Neo-Classical category. I surprising variety of compositions. Everything ranging from Minimalism, to Sound Sculpture, to Dark Ambient, and believe it or not some actual modern Classical. Picked up a number of records. Going for Ambient Drone next.

I believe the chart uses quotations on 'real music' to imply fans of those genres are the snobby type who act like they have a deeper understanding of music because they have explored ever-so-slightly beyond that 'pleb' surface level.
