The DragonFly DACs are all < 1 ohm. I like the DF Red.

I'm looking for a recommendation for two different iems.
    1. A set of iems for work phone calls (needs to have a mic)
    Price Range up to $200
Priorities are comfort, relatively cheap, good mids. Bluetooth would be nice, but not needed.

    2. A high end universal iem to listen to when I'm home
    Price Range up to $2000
Want them to be comfortable, have good bass, and not too sibilant (not bass boosted though, had a bad time with some $50 sony iems)

My current favorite headphones are HEKs and my Mr. Speakers Aeon Close. I used to have the CA Vegas and they weren't for me. Please let me know if I should Clarify anything!

For 1, maybe HiFiMan RE400. Simple 1-button remote/mic, small torpedo shape so comfort is all about whatever tips work for you, good mids. Or Shure SE215 with the CBL-M-K remote/mic kit.

Can't help you with 2, price range way outside my experience.

Thanks Biodegraded! The "Shure SE215 with the CBL-M-K remote/mic kit" looks really appealing. I'll probably go with that.

I think I know how this goes but:

Need an RCA splitter, don't need volume control on it, is there anything worth getting apart from the SYS?

It's for a small Schiit-stack, and my friend would rather not overload on preamps between his speaker amp, Loki and Magni 3.

In answer to a question I asked a few pages back.
There's also this Parts Express version.

I had the SE215 before I even started paying attention to headphones. They sounded so murky that I posted them off to a friend, who also ended up just giving them to someone else. Great isolation though. Very microphonic cable.

I'm currently using the Massdrop Mee Pinnacles for $113. Mids sound good to me. This seems to be a recurring drop.

I personally found the SE215 (dark, congested) and MEE PX (bass lite, super bright) to be at opposite extremes and both unlistenable. I gave my PXs away.

I'm looking for a set of wireless over the ear headphones to use on the train and in the office.

I don't need active sound cancellation, although it could be a useful feature.

The best sound quality I can realistically get is most important. The headphones I use at home are the HD6xx with Sonarworks and a no limits calibration for more bass/sub bass to understand my sonic preference :)

I have Aptx, aptx hd and LDAC on my phone. Just as an FYI supposedly LDAC will be on all android 8.0 phones and above.

I'm currently looking at the Sony WH1000XM2, Sennheiser Momentum 2 Wireless/HD1, and Bowers & Wilkins PX.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction or recommend other wireless headphones I haven'te considered :)

I also have HD6XX at home (with Sonarworks True-Fi), and I have the Sony WH-1000XM2. Good noise cancellation is important for me on airplane flights and my long commute on public transit, and I only considered the two best ANC currently on the market — the 1000XM2 and the Bose QC35. I find the 1000XM2 to have good sound with a fairly neutral signature, although overall sound quality is significantly below a well amped HD6XX (a necessary compromise for being mobile and wireless).

I didn't seriously consider other bluetooth headphones, but you might be interested in this survey: https://www.theverge.com/2017/12/8/16709882/best-wireless-over-ear-headphones-to-buy
If you're as serious about bass as you seem to indicate, you might take a look at Bluetooth headphones especially tuned for that, such as the Sony MDR XB950N1 (and for home you can do better bass than an HD6XX).

I bought the SE215-BT for my wife and it does the job for her. You could always swap out the earbud because of the MMCX connector down the line (I've yet to connect it to my Vega).

Despite it's lack of technicalities, I admit I have a soft spot for the SE215 because I bought it on a whim when I was in between operational headphones and it made me realize i greatly prefer the DD sound over BA, after having bought BA for the last 5-6 IEMs.

OK, here I go. Looking for a DAC that does not have Schiit written all over it. Do know what they sound like. to me it is too easy to get one and say done. Want more of a challenge to get a DAC, do my thing to it and make it sound equivalent or better than the Schiit stuff. Do have a thing for cables and tweaking. Do know how to compensate for shortcomings and know how to accentuate the strengths. What would a great DAC to start with around a 2,500.00 ceiling?

So TL;DR is that you want something bad to make good.

Got it. Start with the AudioGD Singularity 19. @brencho's been trying to get rid of one.

More of a challenge? You can't find a better DAC than Yggdrasil at your price point. Not even close. You have to spend close to $6000 to get parity.

Torq liked the Holo Audio - Spring DAC – Level 3 – “Kitsune Tuned Edition” saying:

However take into consideration upgradeability, longer warranty and USA repair of Yggdrasil.
