Yggdrasil Refined - New Schiit Yggdrasil Analog 2 (Yggdrasil A2) Sound Impressions

@purr1n sorry if this has been covered before, but what transports do you use currently?

 

I’ve never tried anything like the Syncro Mesh with a transport included with it are highly regarded BNC cables they manufacture and a upgraded power supply all in for a little over 2 grand with a full refund 30 day trial , will see , the manufacturer claims the only thing that matters with a transport is the issue of jitter .

 

Just received a email from Schitt informing me of yet another delay shipping my Yggdrasil analog 2 , I place my order early June .

Well as much as I would like to hear the analog 2 in my system I made a decision to cancel it and placed an order for a Rockna Wavedream dac last night.

 

My order for the BMW M5 has been delayed again.

As much as I would like to drive the M5, I made a decision to cancel the M5 and have placed an order for an Aston Martin Vantage car last night.

Hopefully I can get a chance and borrow a Analog 2 as I have access to several other dacs to compare like for example the Denafrips Terminator, Bryston dac 3 , Metrum Onyx and PS Audio dac senior and of course the Rockna Wavedream

Hey Merc I'll give you a good tip. Try to make your posts of high quality and actually have something of value to contribute when you post. This isn't headfi, so you'll need to actually put some effort into anything you do here, and even then there's no guarantee your views will be accepted. That's usually reserved for "Friend" users. You'll get the hang of things eventually, as Marv always says lurk more, post less.

 

Given what you have access to, I think it would be incredibly helpful to post comparisons between those dacs regardless if you get access to a Yggdrasil A2. Those are all top-tier dacs and would be helpful data-points for the community.

If you need advice on how to best construct reviews for the audience, just ask (maybe not this thread).

Yes I deserted the Yggdrasil analog 2 owners group for now however I’m still very much interested in listening to the Yggdrasil after reading through all of the comments on this site, the reason I joined .

.The day that I get to borrow a Yggdrasil analog 2 I’ll put it through several diverse systems within a small group of music enthusiasts I belong to and compare thoughts with comparing the Yggdrasil to other popular dacs and of course not attached to this thread .

 

You really bought a Rockna Wavedream? That's almost 3 times the price. Didn't think of something closer to the Yggdrasil price range?

 

Not to distract from all the, uh, fun in this thread, but...

Given all the handwringing about Yggdrasil’s “inferior” measurements, I was wondering if @atomicbob or anyone with more technical knowledge than me could point to some resources that explain why (despite measuring worse than DS DACs) multibit DACs like the Yggdrasil sound so much better to the ears of many (including me)? I feel like I’ve read lots of speculation about what makes multibit DACs sound better than DS, but nothing too concrete.
