Seems like Sennheiser has already cancelled the "BESTBUY60" code. Was this a pricing glitch? "BONKERS" still takes around $30 off an HD25 (as of a minute ago). Didn't place the order, though.

 

It was an employee only code that got leaked in various places. Early buyers did get their orders confirmed so it's the question whether Sennheiser will refund and cancel these orders or that they'll just suck it up. Both BESTBUY and BONKERS actually stacked lol.. The former code has been fixed by now, BONKERS still works.

The HD660 was $200 so good deal on all who were quick enough. But the top-end HD800/HD800S were never eligible for the code in the first place

 

I got cancellation emails for two orders

 

It seems that my 2 orders did go through; I know one guy that ordered a pair of IE 80s also got his order cancelled. He reached out to sennheiser support and was told that ie80s went out of stock shortly after the codes got leaked. His other order (a pair of HD 660S) is still there though.

 

My order of a HD660s still hasn't been cancelled. Got a confirmation email. It might be because of Canadian distribution though. Technically I don't need the cans either, just too good of a deal to pass up and I want to do a review.

They image very very well, absolutely no bass. Super tempted at that price!!!

 

Yeah, sweet deal, you will need a subwoofer. Also, not ported so the more power the better. 50w per channel is enough, but 200 is not too much.

Yeah, the M2 is a beast. Do keep in mind that you will need four channels of amp and a DSP for crossing over and filtering.

Used I've seen them go for circa 6 kilobuck.
