New update was posted HERE. He talks about finishing cutting all the headband pieces for 650 headphones, 1300 total pieces. Here are the pics he posted up.

Do we have some caballeros on SBAF?

All I understood thank to Google Translate is that headphones are 1) very very ugly 2) comfortable 3) good sounding :D

p.s. And several reviewers mentioned that Verum 1 has noticeable distortion on high SPL. Verum 1 itself can deliver clean sound even at 110 db, BUT! many portable amps has Clipping cause they can't deliver enough current on low ohm load. Please don't forget about it.

I'm Portuguese so i can check it later if there's no native speaker here (i am pretty sure that there are several members here that are).

Edit - Actually that was easier than i thought because he has a little calm tone to his voice and articulates really well so i will share what i thought was the most important:

    - He explained where they came from, talked a little about you and your goals regarding the HP (objective, one-man show, etc...). Referred that they were a pre-production model. Said that the aesthetics are questionable and definitely not to everyone's taste but that the main focus of the designer was the sound and keeping it affordable, which he believes it was successful achieved.

    - He noticed the cable was also a pre-production sample and may be subjected to change.

    - The border of the cups, while they can't cut, are a little to edgy/sharp in the pre-production model (which he reminded again about not being a final model).

    - The confort is simply great and the sound is amazing and not only for the price but in general.

    - The sound is overall balanced, giving props to the mids, highs and bass control.

    - He enjoyed them specially listening to Metal thanks to the presentation of the electrical guitars. He said they are not for bassheads, in particular, but for everyone, in general.

    - The negative side (and he made sure to refer that he was just being picky) it's regarding low frequency. Sometimes low frequencies sounded a little bit more congestioned comparing to the other frequencies.

    - Enjoyed the magnetic cups.

    - They are comfortable but a little bit on the heavy side. He had no problem thanks to the design that distributed the weight evenly enough to avoid pain or discomfort (he mentioned listening for more than 4 hours).

    - Picked a phone and a bunch of not-pricey amps and said they all drove it very well.

    - He made sure to say that this was an unique opportunity for a great product, at a low price, and that people will regret not buying it.

    @Garuspik Very short resume:

    - Questionable aesthetics (he put it in a nice way, also said that aesthetics are not important compared to sound)
    - For the sound quality/price ratio, it feels like it's a steal instead of a purchase, should cost at least twice based on sound quality.
    - Impressive one man achievement, "what he could do with a team if he can do this by himself?"
    - Very comfortable, he liked the generous earpad openings, it's still a heavy headphone but comfort is high.
    - Balanced sound, very clear mids and highs but with great slam and control in the bass, he said that they're the bomb for metal music. Also very revealing but not sibilant.
    - Just the slightest congestion in the lows, shows off the Focal Elear for context (2.5x the price) and said "don't even think about it", giving it the context of an extreme nitpick.
    - Great allrounder, not for bassheads, for his tastes, no neeed for EQ.
    - Easy to drive.
    - Unique chance to get a bargain (price will increase after KS), but even at a higher price it's still a bargain.

@9suns trying to steal my thunder.

    Kidding.

One thing i didn't realize before, until this video, is that it will allow a very easy level of customization with those screws/ thumbscrews.

Thanks guys for clarifying! I've been studying Spanish for 3 years! And (almost :D) all I know is: hermosa chica, yo habla el espanol un poco and... REBAJAS!!!! Last word I've studied when I was on vacation in Spain ;)
By the way, is there a problem with communicating between Portuguese and Spanish citizens or languages are so close there is no problem at all?

They use some old words that we stopped using "hundreds of years ago" but even though we stopped using them we learned them at school, as an example "olvidar".

In general we understand them better than they understand us but, with a little spicy rivalry in-between, we get along and like to tease one another. Between Portugal and Spain there are some villages that actually talk a in-between language because they are so close to the border and they have very close relations with each other.

I must say though, every Portuguese thinks he can speak Spanish and no, they can't, but the result is quite hilarious for those of us who can actually speak properly, even if it's a little bit. Sometimes Spanish tourists are left speechless trying to understand that "Portunhol" (as we comically refer to it) when it would just be easier to speak calmly in regular Portuguese.

Funny enough i moved to Sweden and it's the same "very close but not quite the same language" situation all over again, now between Sweden and Norway.

You've described exactly the same situation as between Russia and Ukraine. Including "here are some villages that actually talk a in-between language". In fact, half of Ukraine speaks that in-between language.

I assume the sharp metal edges will be made less so in production?

LOL! My wife said the samething. I feel knowing where the bathroom is is way more important than the library, especially when motezuma's revenge hits!

I'll teach you two most important phrases in Russian:

    1. Ya propuschu (I'll skip this) - you'll need that when you attend some parties ;)
    2. Ya sin deputata! (I'm a son of senator!) - use this in any dangerous situation including meeting with police.

Only a few days left for the Kickstarter campaign. I've had some fun pad rolling with these and changes are pretty astonishing. The pads @Garuspik had on this pair are different from the first and create a very open and wide sound stage with excellent air. I tested 10 different pads and settled on the only pads I didn't buy (of course it's this one ha!). I think it's the Dekoni Sheepskin Ear Pads for AKG K Series Headphones:
    https://dekoniaudio.com/product/dek...heepskin-ear-pads-forakg-k-series-headphones/

Stock pads, angled, large opening without a screen:
The Dekoni AKG pads give Verum a very natural and warm sound. The midrange sounds very accurate. Bass is extended and gives proper support to the sound. Treble is very even with no peaks or dips. The pads lack a touch of air.
Ether C pads were another interesting choice. They were the most laid back of the bunch. Very warm and easy going, no harshness here.
My other favorite was Dekoni DT Series Sheepskin pads. They had a little more lower treble kind of like HD650 but were pretty warm. They were excellent with movies, sounded very similar to a theater.
Overall, the Verum is an amazing headphone regardless of price. I personally would take it over most planar headphones just because of the very even treble response. Congrats @Garuspik!

The most important thing I've received from the community (after money of course! :D ) is a feedback. Thanks @cskippy , I'll try to make pads that are of the +- same shape as those Dekoni pads you like most. Will show them in future updates. Maybe next month.
