Yup! Got the non-purist version, because I really like what the red GMT hand is doing for the look.

Nice choice. I really like subtle dive/tool watches. I have a Resco UDT that I wear which has a red second hand and logo. Other than that the rest is white or black.

Bought a watch winder box since I have three automatic watches. Below is a pic with the cover opened up. That round platter rotates/spins constantly to ensure that my watches are wound w/o needing me to manually wind them, or wear them.

Below is a pic of the box with the cover closed, not half bad looking box if I do say so myself.

You didn't have someone to wind your watches before automation?

    ;);)

(You might have to factor in the fact that my sense of humour is English. Feel free to dislike it!)

A few days ago I bought the Casio G-Shock 5610, standard issue tough solar watch. It is going to replace some watches that have become useless. The more I wear it the more I like it. It is so well designed that you hardly notice its bulkiness until it bumps into something.

My last watch related purchase, I'm done with watches as it's a pretty expensive hobby.

I picked up a Longines Hydroconquest automatic while I was in Paris. Not a rare watch, but a nice one with good heritage. 20180910_182009.jpg

If anyone would like to follow my watch, whiskey, and dog adventures, I post regularly on Instagram:

I've recently been on a small pocket watch kick as I have found some great deals on classic pieces in silver. Sadly many of the gold pocket watches of yore had their cases melted down for the precious metals.

Brought my G-Shock to the NYBG's O'Keeffe in Hawaii exhibit. Highly recommended, they had some of her paintings from her first Hawaii trip and matching Hawaiian flowers.

Plus Hula girls! This hula was about riding a canoe as a metaphor for another kind of riding...

Also, picked up an early birthday gift:

Lots of great timepieces on this thread. I'm a vintage Heuer man myself.

That is one I really like. I love the look of vintage square watches.

Amen. I really like the Glashutte Original Panorama Date along those same lines:

I concur, I really like Glashutte Original watches. Solid German timepieces vastly more obtainable than A. Lange & Sohne. To me that Pano Date is more aesthetically pleasing (in some ways) than the much-vaunted and sought after PP Nautilus.
