Ha, have a glass of the exact same beside me right now. One of the best bang for the buck I know of

However, Macallan Rare Cask is one of my favorites for special occasions.

I'm very impressed with this bourbon. I generally prefer scotch but for $28 I think this stuff is great

The Hakushu 12 is very pleasantly smooth.

McKenna is a connoisseurs Bourbon. It's got great flavor to cost ration and makes a fantastic Old Fashioned. If you like McKenna, you might also like Journeyman or Few whiskeys.

I second Few spirits. Will have to try the McKenna.

I have a friend who likes drinking honey whiskey, which is basically like alcoholic syrup to me. I want to encourage her to try something a little less college. Anyone have a recommendation for a sweeter bourbon that is a little more tempered and nuanced? $30 range if possible. Thanks!

Does it have to be bourbon? Canadian whisky tends to be pretty sweet tasting because of the maple. Forty Creek is fairly good value for money.

Makers Mark is pretty much your gateway bourbon. Nice taste, nothing at all aggressive.

How about some white dog whiskey? I tend to find these sweater than the more refined bourbon, especially if the white dog has the same mashbill as whiskey.

Thanks folks. Doesn't need to be a bourbon explicitly, I just knew that I found most of them to be sweeter than I normally drink since I favor Asian and Scotch whiskies.

Here is a quote from a Washington Post article on the 7.0 earthquake in Alaska

“I grabbed the essentials,” Scaggs said. “Birth certificate, passport and Pappy Van Winkle,” she said, cradling the bottle in the crook of her elbow.

Suntori toki is my favorite now. It's just so expensive (for a college student). $45/bottle... I probably drank like $33 worth of that stuff last night.

I might need help. How do I post a picture? I tried using Google Photos and it doesn't seem to work.[IMG]

Edit: Figured it out. But yeah, still have problems :p

You'll need to use a hosting service (I use imgur.com), and then once you've loaded your photos into the service use the photo-looking button to the right of the smiley face in the top menu when you post here and copy the link to the photo there and it should show up in your SBAF posting. Kind of an indirect way of doing things, but them's the rules (at least that's how I understand them and do it!). Cheers
