oh, forgot to mention, all measurements are simple DC resistance and are not reflecting any actual performance in audio bandwidth

I think mono pins on the headphone should work fine if you trying to diy.

    Attention!
I've received many messages about new leather perforated pads. Guys, they aren't ready yet. No, I can't add them to package with headphones that aren't shipped yet.

Only few samples are made and quality still isn't stable. When I'll make at least 100 sets I'll make an announcemet and will be ready to ship them.

When they are ready, will they come with their own metal rings?

Quality pads, that's for sure. OK, at least that's what this picture tells me.

Oh, I see. I've found owner of Den-Fi and received his permission to use his photos.

About your proposition - who would refuse from such help? Certainly not me! ;)

    Hi all,
Haven't received my Verum 1 yet but I'm trying to have everything ready by then.

I come from car audio and have a lot of gear at my disposal. Planning to use a Milbert BaM-235ab - more than ample power so will keep the gain @ the minimum in order to not fry the headphone
In order to do so, I need a cable that can fit the headphone and exit as a 4-pin XLR in order to use these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dyson-Audi...dphone-Cable-Speaker-Tap-Adapter/113437046309

Anyone can point me in the right direction? I believe I need to find a hifiman 2.5mm compatible cable, correct?
If my understand is correct, I won't be able to find a female jack to 4-pin XLR adapter in order to use the OEM cable

    Thanks for your help,
    Kelvin

I've read through the whole thread, but--here's some problems far as I can figure that planars commonly exhibit to one degree or another as compared to dynamics. They:

    - have an artificially overly smooth plasticky timbre
    - hide and smooth over details (related to above)
    - have a flat sandwiched horizonal soundstage
    - lack naturally expected midbass kick and impact
    - are soft and sonorous to a fault

(For the record I think I actually prefer planars to dynamics overall. I appreciate the smooth grain-free presentation, little treble fatigue, beautifully textured and deeply extended bass, and wide soundstage that planars done right exhibit--which is why I'm interested in the Verums.)

    So.

Would alll ya Verum owners say they escape said faults, or does it just come with the breed? Thank you kindly!

I really don't know what generated your list, maybe the HE-4XX? Outside of that one I have only heard the Verum. Nothing on your list applies to the Verum that I heard. The HE-4XX might tick some of those boxes.

    Nope.

Straight out of my laptop I'm heaing no loss of details vs a Massdrop Plus and a Future Sonics G10.
    Obvious limitations apply.

Deeper than expected. It beats my LCD2C and Fostex RP variants in this regard.

All good here. The diaphragm is thicker than other modern planars. They have a greater sense of weight and impact as a result.

    Not really. See above.

Please note that my opinion of them is sans an amplifier as my gear is currently in storage.
