Great job pulling this up, sadly I have not received any updates on how this is being resolved with the Reddit users who have contacted the police. Hopefully, we will be updated soon.

From my research and connections, his name is Devon Hunter or Devon Stephen Relative Deyante Stephen

He tried to scam me today on Reddit hardwareswap and was able to intercept the package. I’ve been doing some digging and found his real name, email, Facebook.

Hi all, I'm new here and pretty much only heard about this site via the ongoing scams on Reddit and Head-Fi. BTW, I'm ebjarrell on Head-Fi. Anywhooo, I think this little scam is more than one individual. I've had my DAP scammed by someone named Dan in West Deptford, NJ and was able to get it back via local police intervention, oh, and calling his wife. I do know that Dan is a real person and that he has posted items that are also listed by the guy/guys/girls/bots/aliens at the Camden, NJ address.

So, the mystery continues as to who this perp is and where he has infiltrated. He very well may be a member here. If so, "HEY Porker, I HATE YOU!!"

FYI, the turd is using the fake name of Justin Ruiz, Martin Pirek, Greg Ospina or Dan B. The first three names not real. The address being used is **** Lakeshore Drive, Camden, New Jersey. However, Dan B. is the guy that scammed me and he is definitely real. Contact me if you want his real name. The address he gave me was *** Morris Avenue, West Deptford, New Jersey.

If someone at either of these addresses contacts you for a trade, don't. OR, you could send something requiring a signature and let the local law enforcement agency in on what is going on.

This scammer at 1233 Lakeshore Drive Camden New Jersey 08104 is at it again, scamming right now on Head-Fi as "AmpingUp", he was enthusiastically trying to "trade" thousand-dollar headphones for my $300 IEMs. I was already suspicious as his account is new with no trader feedback, when he gave me his his scamming street address I googled this thread. Thanks to the posters for sharing this scammer's info.

Update: I reported this scammer to the Head-Fi mods Jan. 1 but obviously they had the day off. They suspended "AmpingUp" early on Jan. 2. Now the account info shows "Caution: Justin Ruiz AKA Camden Scammer, Incomplete Trades"

    Gotcha, Scumbag :mad::p

I lost my Sundaras to him last month. Been an eye opener in how I 'vet' traders, asking for timestamps only saves you so long as the scammer doesn't actually own what he's offering to trade. If I'd Google'd the address I'd have found this thread right on the first page. If anyone else has been burned recently, we might get better results filing police reports all at once.

He only steals equipment. In my case I was supposed to send him $250 as part of the trade after I'd received my new headphones, I was trading into more expensive headphones. He gave an excuse why I couldn't send him the cash upfront.

I just want to thank everyone who wrote up this post. I had a trade set up with a Justin Ruiz with the 1233 Lakeshore Dr address. I was going to give up a Campfire Audio Vega for the Klipsh HP3. His head-fi name is GenesisJammer. I didn’t feel 100% right about the transaction. I asked him for a time stamp. He provided. I asked him to ship first and then I would ship. He agreed but he was very clear that I needed to ship first. He sent me his shipping info about a hour ago and I googled his name first....then the address. I stumbled across this which saved me from being robbed. I will help in anyway I can to stop this guy. I am going to report him to Head-fi now....

If you are on Reddit, be leery of u/splunkering. I have confirmed through another user that he is Dan, living in West Deptford. He claims to be getting out of the headphone game and into knives. I have my doubts.

With the help of a friend, I am trying to get the police to take action so, please, no one try to bait him at the moment.

I'm so sick of this shit from this f**k-tard. It looks like SBAF doesn't care about doxing scammers the way Reddit does, so I'll fill you all in on the other scammer's name and address. This is not a fake name or address though. Dan Bielszka lives at 284 Morris Avenue, West Deptford, NJ (about 5 minutes from Camden, NJ). This is the address the WDPD went to and retrieved my Onkyo DAP. Of course, he played dumb and had no idea why "all of this electronic stuff is being delivered to me". I have to query the professionalism of the WDPD too because if all of this "stuff" was in his house and there is someone (me) claiming he is stealing shit from me, why not dig a bit deeper??

I'm included a bit of the Head-Fi chat we had in a jpg.

Also, it seems that the hi-fi community is finally eating into his business and he is moving on to knife collecting on Reddit at r/knife_swap

Looks like all those police reports on the guy and even having police visit isn't doing much and just emboldening the douche.

Wonder if we were all to complain, who would be the next chain up. Local elected reps, the local DA to actually investigate, the news to report since we have a ton of proof. Heck even the FBI should be investigating the dude obviously committing mail fraud.

This is the guy on Facebook who's posing next to a literal trash fire? Fitting, if so.

I'm with netforce, it's ridiculous that this has been going on for as long as it has, especially since he's already been caught with these parcels and was made to return some of what he'd stolen.

West Deptford is a considerably nicer area than most of Camden, but I still wonder who in their law-enforcement ranks is going to prioritize this type of crime? In Camden they have much, much worse things to worry about and little by way of resources. West Deptford is much more suburban, but again not sure who would take on this type of work. I live less than 20 miles away, but going all Dirty Harry is a bit risky these days...

The problem is that the police are way overworked as the crime rate there is crazy. I'm going to make a claim that this is NOT a one-man-band; I think there may be a syndicate. @Lyer25, I'm not sure about the FB post you are referring to, this is the only one I know of for Dan and he's been inactive for a while. https://www.facebook.com/daniel.bielaszka

Seems to have a modus operandi that works for niche communities of obsessive interests. He'll move on to mechanical keyboards and pens probably.
