Bandit belongs to a very close friend of mine. A very curious and affectionate cat, always lounging out in the open. He also loves the smell of feet and shoes for whatever reason.

For the camera nerds, I shot this with the Zeiss Ikon M-Mount Rangefinder and a Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f1.2 v2 wide open on Ilford Delta 400. No filtering or grading.

IDK what that is, we've had a couple of shoe sniffing cats over the years....it always makes me laugh since they seem to screw up their face after as if they don't like what they smell. Yet they always go back & smell again.
    Beautiful picture, awesome camera.

You nailed the focus, and the tonal range is excellent. It's a wonderful image, and it should print beautifully if you choose to do that. Love the grain.

I love rangefinders; looking forward to getting a Fuji GFX-R some day. I had gotten a 4x5 view camera about 10 years ago, but found I really don't enjoy the process of film any more, so sold it (for a profit even. Dang the prices on those have gone up; I paid US$600 for mine). Digital has really spoiled me. Still have a 6x9 pinhole that I keep meaning to bring out.

That said, I really do miss the look of B&W films. The simulations do pretty good but don't quite get all the way there.

One of our cats loves eating the laces off of shoes. All the toys and posts and everything we give him and he eats the friggin' laces...

Same with the dogs here. As for the cats, one is a grumpy-wumpus who doesn't play much while the other's favourite toy is the string off one of my sisters' (or mum's?) dresses.

This is the fostered cat I might have mentioned in a status update way back. Name used to be Toyota (guess the brand of car they found her under?), but we've taken to calling her Tippy, or Tipsy.

Well okay I'm the only one who calls her Tipsy.

Did not know prior to now spayed cats got tattoos. I knew about clipping the tips off ears, but I was surprised to find this girl had more ink on her than I did on me.

Cats not only know their name, they know their several names! Many indoor/outdoor cats take to visiting other houses: imagine if they have different multiple names in each house! I bet they know them all.

Hah! I figured that might have been the case really, since a lot of strays I've met around school/the old office responded to whatever name I gave them. Guess they're smarter than us that way.

... What do you mean I don't respond to Lyer25 irl?

Man, sorry about your loss. My Bailey “Evil Beagle” always, always lit up when I came in the room. My sister used to say it was like she was staring at the sun. Six years and I still miss her.

Goofy-ass derp-hound doggo: Tucker, aka, TuckerPantsFullaBeans. She's a rescue, but we're pretty sure she's a good bit catahoula leopard hound and bred for sight hunting. She'll tree the shit out of some squirrels. Fun fact: she's so fresh-out-the-kuntry, when we brought her home she wouldn't walk up staircases, 'cause she (apparently) thought they were a straight-up tool of the debbil.

I wonder if dogs with one straight-up ear and one floppy ear have a problem with stuff like balance and speaker placement? Maybe they handle it with head position. Or just their brains.

The new cat goes absolutely batshit at 2AM and demands I play with her, killing innocent bedsheets and attacking dangling strings for no good reason:

    P.S.
Dear god your pets are all adorable as hell. @Elnrik and @yotacowboy have derpy-doo doggos

I heard that cats are scared shitless by sudden placement of cucumbers in close proximity. I tried that with one of mine but no reaction. Then again, we nick-named him Sir-oaf-alot. Feel free to conduct your own experiments.

Ah crap I remember that. It's not so much the fact that cats are scared by cucumbers so much as the fact that there's suddenly a massive schlong-shaped object in close proximity to them during meals.

I've seen loads of those vids and, while I do find them funny, it sucks because it's basically making cats feel unsafe during vulnerable moments, as in feeding time or naps. Never did the same to either of the kitties here but dear Lord have I been tempted to get back at them for all the clawings :))
