A few people contacted me with a @icloud.com email address... I don't why but any answer I can try from any email address is rejected. Dunno why.

icloud email users, please use another mailbox. :)

    Thank You Sorrodje

The mod worked great. Sounds the same save the ruff fatigue in the treble. Sounds amazing now.

Hi @sorrodje, if not too annoying for you + not too late, is it still possible to purchase a pair of SDRs?
I am totally new to any modding process but after stumbling into this thread it seems that time has come for me to try...
Whatever your answer will be, compliments and thanks!

Considering this was your first post on SBAF without a proper introduction, I can't help but wonder if you joined this community just so that you could grab a pair of SDRs for yourself. Not that it would matter since @sorrodje is too good for this world, as he would be kind as to help out people like you.

    Hi Songmic, all,
my sincere apologies in case my rushed approach has broken SBAF rules, I absolutely did not mean to (nor to annoy Sorrodje as well). Despite being a music / audio enthusiast, I admit I did not know this community before; days ago I made up my mind to change my cans (Focal Elear) and look for a different sound signature, the one I chose according to qualities I could read of was HD800. The problem was that an S version is out of my possibilities, and the 6kHz treble spike issue prevented me to go for an old HD800... until I read (Head-Fi + other sites) of the SDR mod, that finally led me here.
I value fairness more important than personal gain, really did not mean to be rude to anyone, sorry again if I unintentionally was.
This said, whatever decision will come out of this will be accepted: the sense of the sentence in my previous post "Whatever your answer will be, compliments and thanks!" .was exactly this. Greetings to you all,
    Luca

Thanks for your research and finally we can try this SuperdUpont.
Ordered 2 pairs, hope it can decrease the 6k treble a bit.
Will back to commit once setup.

I'm back, thank you again! Now my HD800 is HD800 SDR.

I can ensure that the FR for 6khz treble diminished around -5db!
The only bad thing is I forgot to take a screenshot for the original FR LOL.
Now, the sound much much better!

My setup position is almost the best, without any tiny deformed, the upper surface and lower paper surface is almost a true 180deg flat plane.

    Here it is:

Has anyone felt SDR had any subtle negative/side effects on the sound?

It helped with peak but seems like something is slightly off compared to stock.
This was a homemade SDR, not a real one.
