Same marketing trick as saying that Audeze has 105mm driver. At this video Fang show membrane without metal traces. Sure it'll weight almost zero. 80% of weight is metal traces.

Hah, and here I was hoping he'd ditch magnets and just make the first field coil headphones.

There was a time when guys used to carry around a triple stack of dap/dac/amp for portable use, and some even went a step further putting it all in a pelican case along with a battery power supply for all the components. A small step-up transformer is nothing. If you build it, they will come

Yesterday I happily did! Here's the proof:

I ordered them right away when I got the email about the possibility.

Quality: It's obviously handmade. The quality not up to the level of Focal's, but it's also not $200+. I say it's good enough, especially if the price is taken into consideration.

Replacing process: The magnetic fixing is magic! :) The oval pads are slanted, so the user should pay attention which is the forward side. Maybe some mark would be useful for the dumb ones.

Comfort: For me it's way much better than the original ones. My ears touched the top of the round pads, which was annoying. Now that problem is gone. The oval pad also seems to stick less to my face.

Sound: I still not have a good amp that could drive a 8 ohm headphone really well, but it seems to me that the stage became more expressed, and the tone improved.

LT/DR: It isn't nicer than the original, but much more comfortable, and also brings some SQ improvement.

Thank you for this tuning, keep up the good work!

@AudioFriend - thanks for photos. It shows that what was promised has been delivered (at least to one person :D)
When we're talking about quality of earpads and comparions with Focal pads - from my point of view I've used leather of at least same quality as focals. It's the finest glove leather I've found in my country.
And yes, they're handmade and aren't perfect. Thought I've tried to minimize deformations during stitching.

Still waiting for the perforated pads ordered on 6.8. Its not so far from Vienna to Kiev .. but i think that most of the time the parcels spend their time at customs...

I think not everyone is reading website and KS advertisement. I had 30 pairs in stock and they were sold during an hour. Right now I've shipped ~60 pairs and gonna ship all August orders before the end of September.
    Sorry, it's a handmade product.

Also I receive many feedback about Verum 1 via PM or emails through website. Please don't hesitate to right in this thread :D

Got to try my Verums today - well worth the wait!

I'm not a audio reviewer so my words might not make too much sense but... (I'll compare to my Magnums)

Soundstage - Wide, not as wide as my Grado Magnums but that makes sense (The soundstage is the best part of the magnums)

Fatigue - None so far! Can't say the same about the Magnums.

Bass - No distortion! That was a surprise - didn't know what people meant by that until now. Does that nice 'rumble' with some tracks (Horses - PnB Rock).

Details - Can pickup new things - I have a new found hatred of songs that use a clock ticking sound :D

    One thing to note:
The mastering of tracks will matter - I noticed that some tracks sound terrible, but others sound much better.

    Thanks again Garuspik!

Will note - I am using them in an office and they leak sound - so if you're going to be listening at work pay attention to the lyrics :)

Has anybody tried an after market 2.5mm trrs to 2.5mm balanced cable, and if so where from?
I am not a believer in expensive cables btw, so no super expensive suggestions please :)

Does anyone have thoughts on how these scale? I don't have a higher-end source or amp to compare to.
