Definitely want to hear your impressions. I also am working to keep two systems with aim of each having their own unique and beautiful way of delivering music.

Quick video I took of Sol at CanJam SoCal a couple weeks ago. Thought you guys might enjoy another peek at it.

It looks and sounded great through Schiit’s setup (I think it was the Ragnarok 2 into Audeze 4z) even in the poor listening environment at CanJam. As much as I love my VPI Classic Signature I’m extremely tempted by Sol. Might have to give it a try.

Price is abt $200 more than targeted if I understood correctly but still great value since it includes the tonearm.
Could not figure out what tonearm cable connector it terminated with. It looks like thin flat shape 3 or 4 pin cable connector.
And, is the platter mat sponge/foam type instead of rubber or felt?

I recalled Jason saying that pricing will be similar to a Gungnir so no complaints from my side :)

Wow, first time I clicked on a Schiit link in ages. Or, come to think of it, any audio link!

A thing of beauty indeed :)

The pricing, according to a post from Marv on the first page of this very thread, was to be somewhere in the "Bifrost Multibit or Gungnir DS" range. Schiit nailed that just fine. Considering the bargain that this table is, I would be surprised if anyone were to complain about the price.

Here is the 24 mins detailed instruction how to set up the turntable. This would be very handy when setting up this TT because it can adjust spindle height as well as tonearm VTA & Azimuth and how to connect motor cable to TT then TT to Walwart etc etc.

I'm in genuine shock at the price. It's almost too good to be true. I just hope they are still in production a year from now as I won't consider getting one before then. Also, I'm a little wary that kinks will need to be sorted out with the first run. Rather wait.

Yeah, I used it when I briefly had my Audio Technica. Make a much bigger difference than I anticipated.

Maybe I'm not thinking this properly, but aren't kinks more likely in adventurous digital electronics than in a mechanical device? I suspect that enough disks have been spun on the prototype Sols to be feel quite safe in buying.

I’ll be buying one of those but it won’t be this year due to lack of funds. This has been my most anticipated Schiit product ever. I’m very excited to hear people’s thoughts on it in their home systems. Let me live vicariously through you!

I really want to buy this but I’m pretty sure my wife would kill me. Maybe next year some time.

I think that Only US customer can purchase this & use it at present because it does not provide motor designed for 230v 50 Hz but only 60Hz 115v motor. AU, UK and EU customers need to further wait. Hope Schiit can provide SOL to customers in those other countries soon.

I did not realize just how much you can adjust on the Sol. Even more amazing is how easy it looks to do adjust everything. I still probably wouldn’t get any cart that is super picky with vta (like the 2M Black that needs to be adjust for record thickness). I would probably mount a MP-200 and never look back.
