    Good grief, those look amazing!

But do they work from ground level, or does your listening chair have to be on a platform?

For the record, how high are those monsters?

Oh, and I love the colour! :)

Ha, never thought I'd own a pair of smurf colored speakers that are nearly as tall as I am (almost 6 feet). I almost ordered a standard black finish, but I'm so glad that I didn't - because this smurfs my smurfin' smurf. Their sound is correspondingly yuuuge when pushed past 75db (BWC is truth) and yet they still sound pretty good at lower volumes.

Or... That's a micro components stand, less than a foot tall? :D

Dude I love your speaker setup, but wow those speakers looked a lot taller than 6ft. Lovely color, like a DNA amplifier. How do you like that Onkyo CD transport vs your Macbook Pro?

Your Yggdrasil/JBL patch/Aegir monoblock is my endgame setup if I ever get a house. Still haven't decided on speakers yet, leaning towards a Crites Cornscala.

And BTW are those 14 midrange softdome tweeters per speaker? I wonder what's behind the design of that...

I definitely prefer the Onkyo SPDIF to Gen 5 USB - better all around extension, layering/separation, less etch. I'm sure it's still mid-fi, but it's tiding me over until Unison drops, or a near TOTL CD transport is released for under $500.
The Yggdrasil + Aegir combo has effectively freed me from upgraditus. Not because other gear wouldn't make me more happy, but because the price to "upgrade" represents absurd cost multiples (x2, x4...). Really thankful that the Moab (which I bought without being able to demo) synergized so well with my chain.
The solo center Be tweeter is functioning as the true tweeter, and the other 14 handle midrange AND mid-bass. It's weird, but it works incredibly well. I'll write more about this later, but my beloved HD650's set the bar for the kind of rich/smooth/detailed mids I wanted to hear from a 2 ch. setup... and the Moab's definitely deliver.

I just moved my whole setup I posted the other day to another, smaller room.

My wife finally decided no big hifi system in our dining room...

Still sounds good, but not as good. Sound is little more congested in complicated passages. I need to mess with placement more. I have an eq in there, and tweaking that is helping get it back to where I like it.

Looks like you have mismatched woofers there, one larger than the other. How does that affect the balance of the sound stage?

Surprisingly the smaller woofer puts out a lot more power, so they end up pretty balanced.

    Ha! Well played.

I have a kid like that. Our younger daughter makes up for being 5 years younger by sheer energy, drive and volume. She's small but mighty...

Room looking more roomy now with stuff on the walls. Listening to some 80s pop and feeling good

They actually are not that low, the 84" TV just makes them look lower. But yeah they should be raised up about a foot or so to get the horns at ear level when sitting

Yeah, there is that too. I guess I'll have to find some cinderblocks or something to raise them up a bit. At 85lb/speaker needs to be something sturdy.
