yeah.. even with their max 14" my amps are hanging off the front. It might has worked if it didn't use banana plugs and had a L-shaped power power.
You could always just use the short desk addon for it ^_^

Got this pair of M audio BX5a for $20 on craigslist. Setting them up in this shrine area in my room. Not sure what else to do with the shrine...
Not optimal setup, but just used for general use, no critical listening.

Sacrifices have to be made for best sound. In mosquito feeding area.

How far away are your nearest neighbours? Do you have any neighbours?

    By Siberian standards, sure.
Do they hear what I listen to?
I guess I will build a monster pair with 18'' drivers at some point to broadcast some Slayer to nearby village.

I'd call it a waveguide. The difference is vague tbh.

What's the profile you used? What does it do to the dispersion?

Finally got motivated to do a deep cleaning of my homeoffice desktop discovery system. Dust everything, take all the equipment out, redesign and replace. This is only for listening to youtube or tidal to find new music. The expensive diffusers are not there for the lowly Fostex spkrs (not bad for intended purpose with a Khadas toneboard feeding them). They help with the main speaker setup on the other side of the room.

I studied a few papers written on the subject. In the end I tried to mimic the curvilinear shape of the midrange to match the propagation geometry from it's dustcap. The one shown is second prototype that ended up in the so far final speaker.
As for what it does to dispersion I can only tell from listening. It sounds much more even with the waveguide. Sweetspot is more 'whole'. I haven't yet measured anything regarding fr response of the speaker. All tuned by ear, so far.

Got these Kenwood KL-660 speakers for free. The boxes are trashed and the grilles are missing but for garage speakers they really rock. I was actually surprised how good they sound. Waiting on a hand-me-down Denon stereo to drive them, but for the time being I have them running off my SMSL SA50.

I finally built speaker cabinets for my Quad ESL 63's. I've always wanted Gradient Subs and this is not the next best thing but my first attempt at integrating Velodyne HGS10 Subwoofers into a stand. I basically used 3/4 sanded plywood (project panels from home depot). 1/4 in by 1 in trim, real flat with black speaker fabric stapled in, magnet connects with a rear panel for wires (LICTOP Black 160mm Metal Rectangle Wire Cable Grommet Hole Cover for Computer Desk Table) on a pair of wheels I got from staples for file cabinets. They look pretty good for 2 black boxes. (edit: sorry messed up the bottom pic and duplicated the top).[IMG][IMG]

    @Lou Casadonte
If it were white fabric, would it be large enough to serve as a projector screen?

Finally got some treatment behind the speakers. Looks nice (to me, at least.) Can i hear a diff? hrmm... no? :)
Maybe it is because of the down-firing elac vela bs 403? Maybe the desk itself it the bigger problem? Maybe i'm blind to the issues? :)

Either way, it still sound great! I'll wait out the months of covid still ahead of us happily sitting here "working."

Thanks. Just my theorising, but I wouldn't expect much from something placed on a wall that is almost immediately behind the speaker anyway.
I would expect it to be, yes.
The back wall of the room bouncing the sound back at you?
So... maybe you never actually had much of a problem :)
