    Seems like a good idea. Feel free to delete if there already is one of these. Or if it’s stupid ;)

    I’m looking for foam tips for an iem that has a nozzle “rim” (the rim at the end of the nozzle that is larger than the nozzle and keeps the tips on) slightly bigger than the CA Orion. I think the actual nozzle size might be similar but the Orion foam tips won’t fit on them.

    I’ve emailed Comply but no response yet.

    experimentation may be the key, you could measure the nozzle diameter and outer diameter and compare that to known iem's on the Comply website,or just google your iem make and model with "foam tips". FWIW, I slapped on some Generic ones that I had laying around and they turned my iem's from wtf? to wow. Maybe get a mulitpack from Amazon. They are very flexible and forgiving and inexpensive for generic ones

    I personally invested in a multitude of different tips and keep them in a bead case. I have spinfits, complys, spiral dots, kz stars, and just try buying tips and then roll different tips whenever I get new IEMs. I then get new ones if none either fit, or if I find more tips out there that might be worth the investment.

    For your issue, is the Orion foam tips too small or too large of a hole to fit the IEM? Also is this for the EDC3?

    No it’s for a Top Secret iem to be revealed in a review hopefully and sent on a loaner tour.

    the Orion tip is too small to fit the larger rim of the mystery iem but I think the nozzle might be the same size.

    im looking for foam tips for these but I just added a zillion different generic tips to my amazon cart.

    I thought Comply’s fit all tips would be perfect but the audiophile ones don’t come in large. lame.

    Got the diameter of the nozzle and the lip?

    Measurements of some foam tips off AE.

    Listed to fit:
    3.0+ mm = T100
    4.5+ mm = T200
    4.0+ mm = T300
    4.9+ mm = T400/500

    Actual bore size:
    2.7mm = T100
    4.3mm = T200
    3.6mm = T300
    4.6mm = T400/500

    If you need larger there are some 5.5mm and 6.5mm ones too. Usually listed to fit jabra or jbuds iirc.

    Sorry what’s AE and what’s the difference between the first list and second list? What’s actual bore size measuring?

    sorry I’m new to iem’s. I’m not sure how I’d measure it I don’t have access to any tools right now but maybe I can figure out a way. Shouldn’t my gazzillion dollar iPhone be able to do that?

    anyone want to list some good generic tips on amazon or eBay or whatever? I found some but there’s a lot of choices and I’m sure some are better than others.

    AE is AliExpress.

    1st. 'Listed' is the size the sale listing, post or advertising says it fits.

    2nd. 'Actual' is the size I measured the inner diameter of the tips with a set of digital calipers.

    If you have some tips to compare/try:
    Etymotic, Shure and Westone use T100 size tips.
    Sony are typically T200 size.
    JVC tips are around T400 size.

    I looked up the CA Orion tips on comply's website, they use T400 size tips. Did you try the silicone Orion tips or foam ones on your IEM?

    If you have a set of drill bits you can compare drill size to nozzle to figure out the diameters. If you lack a caliper, you could also try going by a hardware store and see if you can try a caliper inside the store.

    Here's a link to some 5.5mm foam tips. The next size up from the T400. These are the same as Misodiko M550 tips and Moondrop MIS-tips.

    Thanks that post is super helpful!

    I tried fitting the Orion foam tips on the iem. And the stiff inner core prevented it from getting over the bigger lip of my iem.

    I’ll definitely be buying the tips you linked to. The aftermarket tips on amazon unfortunately don’t use the Tx00 size system but now that I know the measurements I can figure some things out.

    I’m also going to look for X-large tips. I think my iem’s performance is suffering from a lack of seal caused by what seems to be my huge ear canals. Comply’s large size dont fit how they are supposed to. They just slip into my ears with a little twist. No rolling them before insertion necessary like they instruct you to do.

    any other suggestions for aftermarket tips of any kind would be great. I already bought the JVC’s spiral dot tips on CEE TEE’s recommendation. I’m curious what those spiraling dots do to the sound. Maybe break up resonance.

    No problem. The dots, as you said, are to help soften the peaks of resonant frequency. The width of the bore is also supposed to help with mids & highs.

    In general, what others have described is that:
    Wide bore = focus towards mids & highs.
    Narrow bore = focus more towards bass.

    How much is dependent on too many factors, so YMMV.

    I prefer foam tips in general, instead of silicone. I get a vacuum effect and itchiness with silicone tips that just reduces my enjoyment of the music too much. If you don't need to compress the tips and get a comfortable stable fit with a good seal. Then no need to do so. I don't either on my foam tips.

    As far as tips go, maybe Final E-type or Spinfit. Although these may only be available for narrower bore IEM's than your current 'test' ones.

    I highly recommend “the-earbud-store” on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/usr/the-earbud-store) for finding replacement tips. Their customer service is amazing. She sent about 6 emails back and forth with me since I had such unique and specific things I was looking for. Super kind and patient. All for a couple 8$ sales.

    I’ll report back on how the tips are.

    I also bought the following tips on Amazon in case this helps anyone. Takes a lot of digging.

    And I bought the JVC Spital dot tips because so many people rave about them.

    It turns out “ the earbud store” has its own website and they told me they’d rather get this out there than the eBay store.

    Just a few duplicates in a variety pack of silicone plus foam tips. I already had the foam tips in that size by Earphones Plus.

    I just bought every version of the Symbios and every version of the AZLA Sednaears. Like 140$ In iems. Plus some generic randoms on eBay and amazon that had the right dimensions

    but I’m determined to to tune my iems to perfection! Nothing will stop me! Even paying more for cheap silicone tips than for the iems themselves. :confused:

    this thread is getting very useful. Keep up the recommendations!

    I’ll write up a big list of my recommendations and favorites sometime
