    this review has me interested. And the fact that the reviewer says that neutral doesn’t mean bright and how that’s a common misconception makes me have more trust for the review despite my skepticism about Headfonia. I don’t know enough about them.

    Heard these. Decent tone but there is something screwy about the treble response that makes them fatiguing. I couldn’t listen for more than 15-20 minutes.

    I think @purr1n would appreciate their design philosophy.

    I know these are marketing images but I appreciate that this is what they’re aiming for. How many iem’s are even trying to do this? Very few I think. Which is why I think SBAF should give them a run.

    Whitney, you been frozen in the ice for a while. Lots of hosers at the review sites these days. We just have no idea. For all we know, these guys are randos. There are people who think the Sean Olive Harmon curve (bass boost from mid-bass and below and lift in upper mids to enhance the genre of "beautiful female vocal") is neutral. I am dead serious. You can put a sharp but narrow peak in the highs, and if narrow enough, peeps will miss it. It's seriously rando-land out there. The only guy I might trust outside of SBAF is Currawong.

    I really wanted to like these monitors. The design philosophy resonated with me. The craftsmanship was impeccable. Samuel was super nice to deal with. But in the end, no matter what tips, insertion depth, cosmic alignment etc I just couldn’t get around the fatigue.

    Uncompensated measurements of SH3 as provided by PEARS (albeit 2 or so years ago).

    I should clarify that I wasn’t interested based on the rando review but by the purported design philosophy. And those graphs if you can call them that came from the manufacturers website. Admitting sub bass roll off makes them seem more trust worthy.
