    G'day!

I'm from country Vic (up in the north-west).
Not sure if the loaner program is still going? My gear is all fairly run-of-the-mill, Koss PortaPros, a KSC75 with parts express headband and Yaxi pads, black-screen HD650, M50 etc.
The only things I've got that are a bit more non-standard are a set of Rock It Sounds R-50 IEMs which were/are dual-balanced armature Knowles TWFK IEM which I find fairly neutral and my DAC/amp is a Panasonic SA-PMX92.

The loaner program is more or less stalled outside of the US.

There were some local attempts but mostly we just buy our own stuff here.

Not enough people to cycle loaner gear.

I thought that may have been the case.

Sorry I read the first few pages and then got a bit too excited and posted rather than reading right through!

@samwell7 Your best bet is to learn how your tastes compare to that of the more prominent members and triangulate your needs and wants vs theirs. It can be a bit tricky at first but once you get to know how to interpret their language and learn more about your own preferences you should be fine. As long as you don't go nuts lusting after every little thing, it can help you focus on what's important and reduce your spending.

Thanks for that, I've been reading through a lot of the older threads in the headphone section to see the 'lay of the land', I'll need to try a few that have been reviewed to get a bit of a baseline but should be good as I'm reevaluating my sound preferences.

Also, stupid question but how do I like another post? Or is this only an option after I've posted a certain amount?

@samwell7 There should be a series of little icons like thumbs up and down, a cross, a star and a box above the quote and reply buttons. At least if you are browsing on a PC. Hover you cursor over them to see what they are before accidentally marking something as misinformation (the box icon.)

Ahh, I've only been using SBAF on mobile, I'll try on a PC later. Thanks for that!

Edit: checked on PC using Chrome, still wasn't there, maybe I don't have enough posts or something.

I'm currently in Oz. Are any local friends interested in trying the Pi2AES loaner?

Aussie sbaf audio geeks @Woland is very kindly offering to loan his pi2aes. I myself have not actually heard one and would love the chance to give it a shot.
If anyone else is keen to join the loaner raise your hand!
    Limited spots available!

up to the owner but I think you would need to find a few other people to make the shipping worth it.

Fair call, not sure how many NZ people around here. If it's just me that interested then just skip NZ altogether.

It will be pretty hard for us to ship things around during lockdown anyway.
