so for as long as I can remember since wetting my feet in DIYaudio.com, I’ve always wanted to build a Pass DIY amplifier

suffice it to say, I didn’t need much arm twisting from @dBel84 to go right into the deep end.

First up, an M2X power amplifier build.

man, it had been 10 years since I unpacked my soldering iron which has clearly seen better days I needed to do something (smallest excuse is all I need I suppose!)

Getting things together for my first DIY project in almost 10 years! (Been that long since I put in a mouser order anyways!)
And so decided to treat myself to some new soldering equipment
    Quick TS1200A induction soldering iron
    Quick DW861 rework hotair station
    Hakko FR-301 desoldering gun

Going to build out another table to the right of this to have more bench space. Have a 2x4 ft anti static mat and wrist strap/box incoming to finish up the space

chassis for the M2X and an old EHHA build that needs some rework shown in the pic. gotto put that sweet Hakko desoldering gun to use
That EHHA I found when unpacking the 3 boxes with goodies (trash?) that I’ve dragged from place to place with each move I’ve made over to years.

The heatsinks for the future Pass F5V3 turbo dual monoblock build showed up today. Dwarfs the chassis for the M2X!

For tapping aluminum heatsinks I have read people recommending the SHARS self-aligning tapping tool

THanks. Will check it out. Its on my list of tools to get for the M2X heatsinks as well.

This drill press got delivered yesterday. Need to set it up after cleaning out a space for it in the wife's workshop. Maybe this weekend.
