I'd like to try. I have a Jotunheim 2 and Mjolnir 2. LauX still required?

I’m not sure. I’ve only tried Audeze’s on some good tube amps that recessed vocals and the LauX which doesn’t.

But if you sign up for both you’ll get them much sooner because the tour for both is before the tour for just the LCD-X.

I recommend getting both just to hear them and then you’ll know if your amps have good synergy too. But it’s up to you.

@rhythmdevils, I’m currently down for just the LCD-X loaner; would it be possible to move me over to the LAuX + LCD-X combined loaner tour, please? NJ

I’m sorry if this causes any trouble.

Since they are headed back to the West coast, I'm having them stop by me first before the next person on the list so I can take pictures of the damping scheme which I forgot to do. I have too many Audeze models with all different mods and I can't remember them all and don't want to reinvent the wheel. So I'll just write down the damping scheme and take some pictures and send them to the next person on the list really quickly.

I can't wait for you all to get to hear these! :)

BTW, this loaner isn't just about selling my modded orthos. It's also just about sharing my work. You are welcome to sign up even if you're not a potential customer just to hear them. I want to share them with you all.

@rhythmdevils actually I couldnt resist and scooped up a LAuX today lol.I figured it would be better to move me to just the LCD-X tour and let someone ahead of me try out the LAuX+LCD together?

Edit: Dont think this was mentioned here (it is in the LAuX Thread) - one thing I immediately noticed too; you may want to run it on low gain and turn the volume knob up. With the amp on high gain and knob below 9 o clock, it was kinda sleepy and disappointing. But switched to low gain and turned the knob gets past the 10'o clock it was like WHOA everthing opened up and got better. very very nice synergy. YMMV of course. I can't wait to hear what the modded X sounds like!

I don't have much experience with Planars, but would be really interested to hear a good Planar. Put me on the list for both if that's at all possible! I'll just be comparing with dynamics, so totally okay if I'm lower priority... Brooklyn, NY.

Are you sure? It will move you from near the beginning of the list to way at the end. But I can if that's what you want. I'm glad you like the LAuX!

I had the LCD-X shipped back to me because I forgot to take pictures of the final damping scheme for my records and I have modded too many Audeze's to keep each one straight in my head, they're all different.

I also have an update. I received the first prototypes of my 3D printed baffle vents. Despite my precise measurements, they sound up with too small an internal diameter, so I'm making more with varisou internal diameters. They are in production now and should arrive in a few days. So I'm just going to hold onto these until I get the hard, final vents in and then no one will have to worry about handling them and I can rest assured that everyone is hearing them as intended.

I'd also like to give a shout out to @spoony for making 3D drawings of the vents for me to have them printed. I couldnt't have done it without the 3D drawings. thank you Santiago! Very nice guy.

I''l update this thread when I get them set and ship them back out to @CaptainCope . In the meantime Captain, enjoy the LauX!

    Just an update:

I got the next round of prototype 3D printed tubes to replace the straw pieces. For some reason the 3D printed tubes are coming out with a smaller internal diameter than the drawings I'm sending them. I got various sizes, some bigger than my straws, but they are all too small. So I just placed a new order with a shitload of different sizes that should cover me and one of them should be the right size. I'm sorry about the delay. I'm torn between getting the loaner going again, and sending them out with the final, more solid modification that no one has to worry about.

But luckily these printing companies have very fast turnaround time, and I should get the next batch in 3-5 days, which is the time it would take to ship thees to the next person. So I'm going to wait and send them out finalized and bulletproof.

Thanks for your patience. I wish I thought of having 3D vents printed before I started the thread so you wouldn't be waiting. But I think it will be worth it. :)

I'd go with Schiit's philosophy, always get the product solid before releasing it.
