This is such a good recording. Makes me fall in love with the HD800s all over again!

Maybe my favorite album of the last 6 months that's still on heavy rotation for me.

Their last three albums (Lost In The Dream --> A Deeper Understanding --> I Don't Live Here Anymore) is up there with one of the best three-album spans of any band I can think of (listing other 3-album spans would be a fun game to play). All of them well-recorded/mastered too for modern rock so can be used as a recording reference, in my opinion.

I know these pieces well and have never heard them played or recorded better - including Richter and Argerich. Small obscure label and I think the dude only did one other album - of Listz. I always come back to it.

That album is written by a dork for dorks. I love it. I love how Tobias once told an interviewer how much he loved Uriah Heep. Right then I knew enough. Uriah Heep was a special band.

Wussy's great cover of Jenny Mae Leffel's Runaway. Released back in 2018. I can't believe I missed out on this hidden gem.

The new Kendrick video is insane with him morphing into deep fakes of Kobe, OJ, Kanye and rapping from their POV. Even switched up to Nipsey Hustle's flow when he morphed into him.

Kendrick's album coming out this Friday!

Surely one of the greatest covers of all time, such a beautiful song about pain and loss. Hits me with the feels every time.

This is late disco with something else going on: a great soul/funk writer & singer (Patrice Rushen) and a mythic funk bass part (Freddie Washington). I didn't love all disco, but I loved the hell out of this one:

A good song. This band had that old Black Sabbath feel.
